He must have enjoyed that 5 minutes of peace and quiet from that neighborhood kid who always hung around...?

put bus lengths on a Focus RS,
Love your comments! I love my Ranger too!!!! But just had to point out that whoever was driving that particular RS is in serious need of driving lessons. Serious need. Honestly, that individual shouldn't even be allowed to own an RS.

Your 100% right. The dude told me he was full bolt on, and a 93 tune. As i'm just on a 91 tune I accepted the challenge. We went from a dig up to 60 and I had him the whole way. It was funny because he was a decent driver (Shifted fast etc...) and then we did it from, you won't believe this... a 50 Roll. I had him whole way too in 5th gear LMAOOOOO!!!!!. He was not happy to say the least!!!!

I smoked a f250 turbo diesel dummy at a stop light. His truck was belching black smoke right in front of me. I wasn't initially trying to pass him just get beside him and out of the nasty exhaust plume but he kept speeding up and cutting me off to keep me back there. At the next light I was able to get beside him at the red light, he kept revving it up belching all the way, when the light turned green. I accelerated normally, he floored it so I punched it and passed him and left him in my dust! For the next 2 miles he wouldn't get up beside me again even though I slowed down. Diesel dummy!
Haha, I've done that a couple of times too.

I'm sure we've all experienced this (maybe?) but my first exciting experience is when I put it in S mode and accelerated on the on ramp onto the highway, quickly exceeding the speed limit. Whoa, gotta watch out for that! I was very surprised.
And going to the family Christmas last year with my wife riding shotgun. So quiet in the cabin she was lulled into a peaceful nap all the way to my parents house. I absolutely love how quiet and peaceful it is while driving normally. Unless you're in sport mode...

I’m sure everyone has some interesting stories to share where their Ranger has a special (or less special) part in it.

Is it something funny, embarrassing, some kind of special adventure, something romantic, some kind of truck work done what seemed almost impossible, some other kind challenge was accepted, etc. Whatever it is, untold stories, please share them!
ValvoMax Oil Drain Kit, Works very well. Super easy oil changes. So easy I forgot to remove it and cap it last time I changed my oil. Ran 5 quarts of new oil right thru the motor onto the driveway. I saw the pool and realized my lapse before starting the truck. Hi price oil flush! Der

This one doesn't include any Rangers but it was sure fun...I had been on the Sheriff's Office for about 5 years. Long before cell phones and cameras etc. It was a warm Halloween night very late, not much traffic. I put on a very realistic scary Halloween mask with horns on it, while stopped at a notoriously long red light. 2 teenage boys pulled up beside me on my passenger side. I had a red reading light I turned on and then turned my head and stared at them until the passenger looked over at me and screamed and pointed towards me. The driver turned and looked at me just as scared, the light turned green and I drove off a block to the next red light, had already pulled the mask off, they pulled up beside me and eased up and both looked at me like WTF did we just see. I rolled my passenger window down and said hey guys is everything alright? Silence. The light turned green and I drove off and left them... ??

One evening long time ago, a friend and I agreed to drive separately and meet up at a restaurant for dinner/drinks...he followed me down the on ramp onto a highway and I decided to show him how to eat dust...he tried to keep up...after I passed 110mph, he backed way off and I assumed he admitted defeat...it seemed that all the traffic backed way off...hmmm....I rounded an interchange to another freeway, slowed and merged into the middle of a pack of cars...I see a light quickly approaching from the rear thinking it was my buddy trying to catch up but this car flew by at 3 digits...I glimpse something that me go "oh sh^t"...a little while later, my friend did finally catch up, pulled along side and was laughing his ass off...when we got to the restaurant, I was made aware that I blew past a radar trap and Michigan SP was in hot pursuit without lights or sirens... guess I flew by them so fast that they didn't get a make...moral of the story? Ignorance is Bliss...?

When I was a kid, the next-door neighbor was an old time master Ford mechanic...last name was Hillmeyer. One day I saw him working on his Mercury and went over to see what was going on. He was just finishing a tune-up and when he was done said watch this...
With the motor running he balanced a nickel on top of the radiator...I watched it for at least 5 minutes, and it stayed perfectly upright with no sign of moving! ?

When I exit my neighborhood to get on the highway, I have to drive on the shoulder to speed up. As I start to merge and get in the right lane, I see cars switching lanes expecting to pass me. But as fast as this ranger is, most cars don't succeed on passing me. Love this truck.
