I got my job thanks to Ranger probably. I had been years away from cars and also quit hobby driving. After back issues I sold my cars except one rare and turned into total end user of new and cheap simple cars. I switched cars technical part out of my life. Successfully for years.
Then there came this unknown Ranger I knew nothing about… Absolutely nothing. A space ship. Wow, leaf springs? Oh, they call it a truck not a car? And then I found out “ou s*** it’s not AWD!” Yes, as I wasn’t able to do what I loved, I kept myself far away from opening hoods, even car magazines and ended like that when bought my Ranger. As no one around me wasn’t able to help me with information and few who had pickups, they had Toyotas and practically sent me to hell, I was alone with my cool space ship. At the same I was more eager to know about it until I realized maybe the car sickness kicked out again? Maybe I should just “be sick” then?
Today I work at technical department. Trucks, PHEV-s, cars, EV-s.
Well we are glad you are one of us!

A feature I miss for sure!! That lovely remote start along with locking and unlocking with the phone!!

About 2 years ago while working a co worker was trying to figure out how to get parts to me and others. I was an hour south from my house and he was in the area. After some brain storming i told the guy to head to.my house and let me know when he got there. After that he calles and I told him to put the stuff in the bed of the Ranger. He was curious as to how it was possible with me nowhere near. I hit the thing on the phone and it unlocked!! After he was done I locked it back up. Got home later that day and picked up my parts!! Such a nice feature that I miss!!

I’m sure everyone has some interesting stories to share where their Ranger has a special (or less special) part in it.

Is it something funny, embarrassing, some kind of special adventure, something romantic, some kind of truck work done what seemed almost impossible, some other kind challenge was accepted, etc. Whatever it is, untold stories, please share them!
Hi Kristina,

Here is a collection of my stories...

You have no idea how much I want to see US Ranger in real life :D In general US and EU versions may seem similar but they aren’t. Yeah, except the 10R80, Ford sent me the same you got.
Same with me...looking forward to seeing the non-US versions!

Good Afternoon,

Hello all, I'm relatively new to owning a Ford Ranger. I got mine back in August of 2022, so she's still new to me. I wouldn't say I have an interesting story with my truck yet, but more of a journey with her, and it all started when I started looking for trucks. Currently I'm an Aviation Major in college, and over the summer I needed to get a car for school. Well after looking around at other cars such as a Camry, and things of the sort my best friend told me to look at a Ford Ranger, and thats where my love for them came about. After looking around for a few months, and a lot of travel between dealerships I finally found the one I call mine. Found it on Auto-trader in Edmond,OK. and decided to fly out there and check it out. She shined bright in Lighting Blue, and it was "love at first sight." So I ended up buying the truck and drove her home. I will post pictures when I first got it compared to now (Mainly just a level kit and new tires). What I found very cool is both of my best friends have the trucks that are above the Ranger (F-250,F-150) and so we took some photo's of our trucks when I got mine (I'll provide that below too). When it was time to go to college I was sad to leave my friends, but excited to see where life takes me, and with my truck by my side. Throughout the first semester my truck watched me focus on school and getting my Pilot's License, she was there when I went on my first date, soloed an airplane for the first time, put bus lengths on a Focus RS, and those are just a few as of now. The main point i'm getting at, If I haven't lost you yet, Is I love my truck so so much. To most people this truck is a plain old standard truck, and they are common yes, but to me my truck is more than "just a truck". It's my favorite. So I look forward to the adventures I have with my truck, and can't wait for the memories I make. You know I thank you Ford, thank you for making such a reliable, amazing, and bitchin truck. Thank you all for reading!

I can relate - I've had mine almost 4 years now and I still love it. It has taken me on a bunch of great adventures, never let me down, and impressed the hell out of me many times. I still can't help looking back at it when I park it either. It is my 4th Ranger and by far it is my favorite.

Welcome to the Ranger family!

Thank you! it really is a double take when parking. Every time I park and get out I have to look back at this beautiful truck. I can't wait to see where this truck will take me.

I have to tell my favorite story on one of my adventures with my truck. I went hiking with a couple friends of mine. One of them drove his full size Dodge Ram diesel to the trailhead. It was early in the season and there was still snow on some of the forest service roads. On the way in, we went thru probably 6" of snow that was relatively hard and crunchy. We went down a hill on the way in, knowing we'd have to come back up the hill on the way out. I wasn't concerned. We hiked all day and on the way out, the snow had melted a bit - it was no longer crunchy but soft. My Ranger just powered right up the hill, not even missing a beat. He didn't make it very far up the hill before getting stuck. I backed down the hill, and said we'd try the easy thing first - I hooked up a tow strap to his truck and I pulled his full size truck up that hill! It didn't even feel that hard. He was pretty impressed - my "small" truck had pulled his big behemoth up the snowy hill. I was pretty happy and had to gloat a bit..... :)

One of the many occasions where my truck has impressed me with its capabilities....

When I was a kid, the next-door neighbor was an old time master Ford mechanic...last name was Hillmeyer. One day I saw him working on his Mercury and went over to see what was going on. He was just finishing a tune-up and when he was done said watch this...
With the motor running he balanced a nickel on top of the radiator...I watched it for at least 5 minutes, and it stayed perfectly upright with no sign of moving! ?
He must have enjoyed that 5 minutes of peace and quiet from that neighborhood kid who always hung around...?

If you're ever in WV give me a shout. You can see one in the best design and color. Iconic Silver Scab. :)
