Man.... know I am going to need it for the chip prevention. But jeez I do not want one of those things on my truck.

I just added one last spring after almost 3 years of owning it. I did not have any chips but we were going on a month long trip and doing a lot of highway miles so I figured why not. Honestly now that it's on there I don't even notice it now.

And how about a bug deflector and a decal promoting the brand of bug deflector?

Not enough. I was hoping for at least 30. It'll negate the 5HP just due to the additional wind resistance at highway speeds.

The air flow changes. It raises the flow above the hood a little. Had a Chevy with a bug defelctor and you could see more rock chips on top half of windsheild than bottom half after the bug deflector was installed. Therefore the 5HP gain might be more.

I will add mine. Suttle but looks good going with the black theme these trucks have in XLT trim. No doble sided tape and zero issue with hood Latch

Don't know what make mine is was already on the truck when I bought it - but it does work.

On a trip to the mountains last summer, I picked up a lot of bugs on the front of the truck but not a speck on the hood and very few on the windshield. No chips on the hood. I like the AVS Bugflector II because it attaches to the underside of the hood with fasteners instead of tape. Used Mother's to clean the bugs off...

I've had mine since I purchased the truck (in 2020) and I can say after getting a $400 speeding ticket on Interstate 5 that it doesn't reduce anything in this dimensional realm ?‍?...especially after 303 Graphene and a damper!!

PS - except bugs, does a great job, especially in Central Valley ag country...
