I was on my typical ride home from work on central Va. backroads. These are unmarked somewhat narrow roads with seldom posted speed limit signs. I was going a casual 45MPH or so, when I noticed headlights approaching quickly from behind. Then I thought he turned, no car in left rear view, no car in right rear view. Then suddenly I barely noticed the top of the car in my center rear view. He was so close on my ass, I could no longer see his headlights. He rode my ass as I approached a T intersection which I normally just coast to, to minimize the need for brakes. I had to wait for a car coming from the right, which was gonig very slow. So for the next couple of miles it was not me slowing us down. Then the next intersection was a 4 way, and the car in front turned right. Ahead was about a 3/4 mile straight away, slight downhill, cross a creek then uphill to a sharp curve. I nailed it, and the Audi faded in the distance. As I crossed the creek, I let up so I could coast into the curve and resume my normal pace. That's when he caught up to me. About a mile later he turned.
What a thrill! It was couple of miles later I realized I still had it in tow mode!
