Not trying to be a dick, just curious why someone would pay more for this despite, it seems, a lot of FX4 owners on here immediately paying $500-2000 to swap out/upgrade the suspension.
I got the FX4 in 2019 because Tremors had not been invented yet. After putting the Ford/Fox Leveling Kit on, it rides great, so I am very happy with the package overall. Next time around, sure, a Tremor at least, a Raptor if possible...

The only way to get a white supercab when I bought a ranger was to also get the FX4 package. Just how the dealers that did order them here in SE configured them. Suspension and tires are fine. But I did notice a large variance in how the different FX4s rode when I test drove them. All stickers were removed immediately along w/ all external badges. The terrain modes were a pleasant surprise.

You can have my Tremor decal when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Though with my luck one of them will be crooked.

Just sayin'...

Because it's a good value between Trail Control, Trail Management, skid plates and the locker. In fact I doubt one could buy comparable plates, add a locker, and add Trail Management for the cost of the FX-4 package. And they'd still be without Trail Control since nobody has figured out how to add that yet.

The suspension on all Rangers sucks, FX-4 or not. Not to mention I usually swap suspension on virtually every vehicle I buy.

The "upgraded" FX shocks would be last reason for any aware buyer to go with an FX-4.

Perhaps the reason you see so many FX-4s with the suspension swapped is the buyer. Those who value what the FX-4 has to offer are also likely to value the benefits of an aftermarket suspension.

I'm fine with my suspension. I don't know any better.
I'll swap out when they will need to be & say "Oh man, why did....."
I bought way too much truck for what I need but man! I like it!

Terrain modes can be added with an $80 switch and forscan, a locker is a separate option (think it was like $500), and all 4x4 come with skid plates.
Guess I saved $1000? The trail control isn’t worth that to me.

Having said all that, I just bought what was on the lot that had a locker, and was a supercab. I would have preferred a lariat because the price difference was minimal. An FX4 package would not have been a deal breaker (although they may not have offered it in the SCAB?).

Better yet, do a badge of honor trail and put the badge on your truck.

Factory skids are a joke IMO.

They're put on so Salesmen can blow hot air up the ass of the average buyer.

Anyone who NEEDS skidplates is going to immideately buy aftermarket and throw the stock pieces in their neighbors pool.
