No way in hell am I buying something else. Yea I'm tired of waiting. But I knew that going into this deal. In the current world it is what it is. The days of getting an ordered vehicle in 8-10 weeks are gone. My Ranger will be here when it gets here. Only truck I want. That's why I ordered it.

Just my 2 cents. NOT criticizing anyone else's plans/thoughts.
You also have to understand that there are people out here that actually need the vehicles to get to work and not just waiting on a Ranger for leisure adventures

Yes, but you have to understand at the same time that you can’t just go onto a Ford lot and pick out whatever you want nowadays. Ford CEO is switching up everything and changing how ordering the new vehicles is being done as well as placing restrictions on smaller dealerships as well coming out into the EV market they want dedicated dealerships able to produce sales for their electric vehicles. And to be honest, the majority of all Ford vehicles are priced so high that even regular people cannot even afford a car. In fact, most of these electric vehicles are almost a mortgage payment.
Last time I checked it wasn't only Ford dealers with empty lots. Nor is Ford the only manufacturer dealing with supply chain issues. Every capital equipment manufacturer in every industry is fighting long lead times in today's world. From my seat Ford is doing the best they can with it. They want to sell vehicles. They are not in this business to jerk us around with long wait times. They are in the business of selling vehicles. The more the merrier.

As to their forced dealer agreement/contract changes tied to the move into EV's, time will tell. IMHO they are trying to proactively plan their participation in that market and do it while avoiding some of the current less than stellar dealer issues. "Market adjustments" to pricing on Broncos and Lightenings being a couple of examples of dealer driven issues.

Seems as if my comments may have chapped your ass a bit. Can't help but wonder if you even read the last sentence in my post. If not, you may want to.

well, then, I guess this is just a matter of opinion, isn’t it? Again I’ve purchased five vehicles in the past seven years from Ford so I have a right to have these concerns. Now ask for other lots in their inventories, inventories and vehicles are showing up on lots now shortages for chips and electronics is down now full production is in within ford.
Like I said above, some of us don’t use trucks for leisure activities. We need them for work so waiting half a year for a truck to be built would be redundant wouldn’t you say. Now if you pay attention to the Ford lots, there are more and more inventory showing up.

I had ordered and purchased a 22 Ranger and It did take about 7 months 1.5 weeks to get to the dealer. Now that was a wait….. patience is of virtue……. I am calculating the 23 ranger we also have on order (ordered Oct 20th) & (pro week Feb 6th) will take about 5 months…….. NO BIG DEAL……… Relax, no one has a gun to your head. Just kick back and enjoy life and what it has for you to learn from it…………… Your Ranger will come soon enough……… it really will…….. Relax.
Would ya just let me pout?

my ass is definitely not chapped, although yours seems to be. Maybe I’m just caring on a casual conversation for which I guess some may need a extra cup of coffee this morning. I read your comments, and I replied, and nothing in my reply was rude. Nor did I call names or try to degrade anyone. I believe this is a forum for which people can have discussions. But I honestly believe people think that this is a regular social media platform such as Facebook or Twitter and they wanna resort to bullying or if they hear a comment they do not like they want to resort to name-calling. I believe that’s what’s wrong with society as well the fact that no one can have their own opinion, nowadays without someone else’s butt being chapped enough to call names or make rude comments. I hope you have a great day. I don’t know why you’re looking for an argument, but I’m not the one to start arguments with and nor do I start them.

Not even remotely looking for an argument. I wouldn't even waste my time arguing here. Discussion? All day long. Arguing? Hell no. Not worth the effort. Your comments lead me to believe that I'd irritated you. Period. Nothing more. That in turn did not, and would not, chap my ass.

Whole lot of things can and do chap my ass.... but real world stuff. Not this forum.

As to calling names, bullying, and/or degrading someone? I can only assume that was an overall statement and was not specifically directed at me.

Facebook and Twitter? Have to take your word for it. I want, nor have, neither.

Good luck with your truck order. And the car engine you are waiting on.

Three months into this process, hoping to get a build date soon...... or should I be more realistic and say eventually. I have the luxury of be being able to wait 6 months or so, however what if, May God Forbid, I had major failure or worse a total loss accident to my vehicle. People just can't wait around for 6 months for a vehicle to commute back and forth to work in. This current business model can not continue indefinitely,.

I totally agree with you sir.
and as we wait for our builds, we also understand product shortages, etc. etc. but as I’ve also pointed out is that the shortages have come to pretty much a stabilization.
But again, Ford still continues to put out their fleet vehicles over and over for two over regular customers.

know if you look at Ford as a whole any of their vehicles, most of which are priced way out of low income or middle income prices. I don’t know about you but to be able to afford a 70 or $80,000 truck or vehicle electric or not you would still need to make close to $14,000 a month to be able to afford a payment I’m saying $11-$1600 a month. Most of these vehicles are priced so far out that they’re practically mortgage payments for a lot of people. Ford originally started out manufacturing vehicles in a big way to every day people now they’re resorting to targeting only high income individuals

Well look what I notice today today under my FordPass account. I noticed that my ranger its Ford pass connect was connected to the account. I cannot activate it until I take delivery of the vehicle of course, but I thought that was cool. I went ahead and added the Vin number to my Ford account and that popped up today.

I’m not 100% sure but I believe the Ranger goes through to particular production stages when posting online. Originally my manufacturing date started on the 8th/9th. And then the beginning of this week it said in production again at the beginning of this week again in the tracker. I did actually get a call from Ford customer service regarding my wife’s engine for her car. It is on a priority list as soon as parts are available for that engine for the production line. So I do have to say that Ford is trying lol

Looks like Ford will shut the 2023 Ranger order books next week on Jan 26th. I assume thats to retool for the next gen 2024 model, apparently they learned a lesson from the Maverick disaster and if you put a 2023 Ranger order in and they don't get to it before they shut the line down you are on your own.... (no discount for next years model).
