hmm how lame...The factory hitch replaces the structure with the hooks on it. That picture shows the curt hitch installed as well.

Yes you can...Can someone enlighten me on why you would need both tow hooks and a hitch? Can't you do the job of the tow hooks with a hitch. Just wondering.
Careful typing that or American auto makers will start making beds optional on trucks for the low low price of $3,495. It’s amazing how much Asian and European vehicles include as standard features vs American. I had to get the tech package to add adaptive cruise control even though it had Ford 360 as standard. Also, you have to move up to a lariat to get $60 LED bulbs…. I paid well over $40k for my Ranger and got Halogen lights as bad as those I rocked in a 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88. C’mon Ford, give a little back to the consumers, especially life-long Ford folks. Bad enough that the most American made vehicles are the Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner these days.IMHO - Tow packages should be standard on any and all trucks. It is a Utility Vehicle FIRST. Trucks that come from the factory w/o a hitch are like trucks that come without a bed to put things in.
Used to they also came with other goodies like a stiffer rear sway bar, trans cooler, oil cooler, stuff like that so in addition to the hitch out back you got some goodies under the ol' hood too. Not so much any more.
There is already enough getting out and swapping/mucking about that has to be done when off roaring. I would rather the convenience of both permanently in place. Beside, what if I get stuck in the mud while toting a Uhaul to Wally World? Can someone enlighten me on why you would need both tow hooks and a hitch? Totally understand...ya gotta be careful of those puddles in the parking lot... some of them can be 2-3 inches deep....There is already enough getting out and swapping/mucking about that has to be done when off roaring. That's how it worked in the very early days of 'pick up' trucks. You would buy a cab and chassis from one of the major manufactures, then a 3rd party would sell you the box bed to install on the chassis.Careful typing that or American auto makers will start making beds optional on trucks for the low low price of $3,495.
