With the above said, If someone local to me ends up buying SW assets and intends on continuing I will do everything within my power to get on board with them. 16 years experience can build every item without oversight / train others sounds like a win/win to me .

just gotta keep tabs on articles relating to SW and asset liquidation ect.

owner has straight disappeared even to answering our questions like how TF we're gonna get our 2022 W2's they always use to get sent to his house/the shop and he would hand them out.

luckily we used paychex and u can signup for paychex flux and download a copy online

but other such questions/concerns straight ghosting

I'm just saying BUT
you could have ordered thru website and chosen CC by phone as payment, call in with card info and at time said half as deposit. which is neither here nor there now.
Its the principle of the thing. I don’t mind a deposit to apply to the required materials, but paying for work not yet performed in advance seems to remove the incentive to complete the work timely. And, as Mike said, there are some time limitations on reversing charges.

I totally understand that running a business is not for everyone. It does take A LOT of time and energy to run it right. Hopefully someone buys it and you can continue working there and help train others.

I might have missed it but what happened to the owner? Did he just not show up and closed the doors on all of you? Any health problems, family issues, drugs? Only reason I ask is if he just shut down and left everyone high and dry that's a real scummy thing to do. No matter what the reason is he still should've had the decency to tell all of you he was closing up.

Mechanics assistant.
Has Shrockworks gone belly up? I ordered skid plates, sliders and the ultralight bumper from them on May 10th. Starting about 2 months ago I contacted them multiple times and was told that my order would ship in "a couple of weeks." In the past week I've phoned and emailed, to cancel my order, with no response.
Do we have any Houston forum members that could go knock on their door?
I was just there last week. They said they were moving to Tomball next to Hippo Hopper. I went there just now and couldn't find them. An employee of 16 years just told me he laid everyone off on Tuesday. So good and bad news. It appears they may be delayed on shipping because of the move OR they went out of business while moving. Can't get a hold of anyone to find out if they are completely out of business or are just starting over.

Been on edge all week after seeing all this. I was assured mine was shipping.
The one time I didnt order direct from Shrockworks but through Offroad Alliance.
Showed up today but it sucks to hear about the staff getting ghosted like that.

What really sucks on top of it all is .
There were alot of bumpers and some sliders mostly ready to send off to powder coating.
(20+ various bumpers / 5-6 sets of various sliders ) in bare steel waiting on powder.

there were 10-20 various bumpers crated up awaiting shipping

and 10-15 powder coated bumpers sitting on shop floor waiting on packaging along with a number of sets of sliders.

who ever ends up buying SW's assets has a number of things ready to install assuming they know wth they are purchasing. ;)

Wow that's crazy! Hopefully it gets sorted out soon and they can find the invoices (I know wishful thinking he probably didn't keep good records) for these. At least the ones awaiting shipping so people can get theirs.

Unless you've already unbolted it from behind bumper on pallet you seem to be missing the alum skid plate .

OA actually sent an 18 wheeler by on 10th before owner showed up to collect the above bumper . They arranged their own shipping to satisfy their customers order . SW $ wise had not shipped out anything in some time hence the 20+ bumpers crated up awaiting shipping. I would not hold my breath that any of the ones crated up or otherwise will see customer hands outside of an asset liquidation from bankruptcy ect.

OA did this on their dime for the shipping costs Thomas at OA is an awesome dude to deal with.
the truck arrived about an hour before owner gave us all the axe LOL very lucky indeed.
