Fun Fact! I already have the damper, literally the first thing I did to the truck when I got it, haha.
You already have the best mod out there! Welcome to the club!! ?

Hey guys,

I just purchased my new 2023 Ranger Lariat Tremor about 2 weeks ago and just wanted to share.
Ordered the truck back in October in Azure Gray Metalic Tri-Coat, delivered 12/27.
First time owning a truck since I mostly drove smaller Japanese import coupes.

The day I picked it up.

How it sits now after 2 weeks.

Enkei RPT1 in 16x8 +0 wrapped in 285/75R16 Nitto Ridge Grappler

Hopefully some more lighting to come, treat me well guys!
Welcome…that is really a nice color!

How do you like the Nitto tires. I have to replace my BFG K02’s soon and like the Nittos….both Terra Grappler 2 and the Ridge Grapplers. I know there are a bunch of other threads about tires, but yours caught my eye. I love the K02’s but am looking for a change.

I have the Ridge Grapplers and will be looking to replace them soon with something else. They're great when new and are very quiet on the street and aggressive for off road. They wear very fast as I only have 30K on mine and the centers are very worn already. Most likely I'll be getting Toyo OC AT3's in a few months as any here love theirs and they are wearing well.

Thank you for the input! I have a set of K02’s with 30 k also and starting to get loud and feather a little. They were a very good tire, but now looking for something different. Also a little less weight….

Hi Dave,

There is a strange phenom called Tread Squirm from which some tires experience. It may not show up in tire testing by the aftermarket. The center of the tread squirms and grinds itself on the pavement where the outside tread is more supported by the tire sidewall. Could be what you are experiencing.

I hated to have to give up the Firestone tires on the Ranger 4x2 because of the name Firestone that our idiot CEO, Jaques Nassar dictated...no named Firestone tire on any Ford products. They were very good tires with superior wear. The ContiTrac tires with which we replaced could not hold a candle to the Firestone non Wilderness A/T tires.

Best,
Phil

Maybe Phil but I heard these Nitto's are notorious for wearing very fast. Of course this was after I already bought them. They were great through our whole trip then about 2-3 weeks after we got back I noticed them getting louder. I thought something was worn in the front end so when I had the oil changed I asked them to check everything. The manager (who I know well) said it's definitely the tires and he's had the same happen when he had Nitto's.

Nice truck! How was the ride with the General Grabber ATX's? I recently put a set of Tremor tires and wheels on my FX4 and the Generals are kind of rough riding tires. They ride a lot rougher than the stock Hanklooks that came with my FX4.
I am a tire snob on all my cars over the years and those Hankooks on my 2019 Ranger, may be my favorite stock tire, ever.
