I love those old Jeeps. Where can I get a set of those wheels and tires for my Ranger? Will I need a lift kit?

These transmissions are junk IMHO. Fantastic at WOT or half throttle, but anything else and they just have a mind of their own. Even with tuning, you just don't know. All that hunting, weird shifting, etc. takes its toll on the mechanical parts.

They put these transmissions in vehicles with much more power and even weight than the Ranger, so "power mods" is a non-issue IMHO.

One day my YJ might be a CAT swapped, manual, Atlas cased, fully caged, wonton'd, machine.

Either that or it will continue to be a daily for the family's younger generation. My nephews will need something to drive soon.

But I couldn't ever let it just end up the yard.

The whole point of a personalized plate is originality to me though.

yup me and him talked about all his plans with his yj a lot up here at work and priced a lot of it out back then we looked into a budget ish setup with a set of ford axles with a high pinon i dont remember the link setup we talked about since his goal was to get rid of the leaf springs and have flex for days and run king coils haha

When I was kid I'd look at cars I could hopefully afford and do imaginary sound system builds from a Crutchfield catalog, before the internet.

Nowadays I waste time doing full on imaginary builds online.

I've built that Jeep every way possible in my mind. Who knows where it'll end up.
