So trying to update my sync 3 over wifi and when I scan for updates, it’s shows that none are available and I have the most current version, however when I check my build number it is not the most current. Current version is 22200 and I’m still on 19 something. Fordpass online also shows me I still have an update to install. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and corrected it. Going to try a master reset tomorrow if I can’t figure anything out. Appreciate it.

I just bought my 2021 XLT 2 weeks ago. Couldn’t get it to connect to wifi at first then once that was fixed I had the same situation as you. I bought a $10 usb drive off Amazon and downloaded it to the drive and installed the update and the nav map update after. It all took about 2 hours. Oh and you can’t upload the file to tell ford you completed the update. It’s broken and they don’t know when they are fixing it according to customer care.

Appreciate the info. I’m going to try to do the master reset to see if that works and then when that doesn’t work I will get a usb stick and try to get the update that way.

Yep so successfully updated via the usb method. Did a master reset and sync still couldn’t find any updates over Wi-Fi. USB method worked well but as you said you can’t upload that file to update ford without an error message. Hopefully this helps others in the same boat.

Yup same deal here, also I'm waiting on the nav update as I still have a free download so waiting to see if maps are updated to latest.

I got tired of waiting for the wifi method so I tried the USB stick method. It worked but failed to create an output file that tells Ford you've updated. Oh well. No problems with the update so far.
