Gotta disagree a little here. Got a 1" level on my Tremor. It does provide a different feel to the truck. Much more stout view and a more upright position IMO. Ride quality doesn't seem to be harsher, just more stout.

I will say that I will be removing it because I simply hate the way, regardless of what it being towed, the front is high and it looks squatted, even when controlling any squat in the rear with sumo springs. It almost seems that the front gets lifted when weight is placed on the hitch.

For ME, it was the ride, it was slightly firmer but more so it transferred much more of the small road irregularities where as the stock configuration absorbed them. It drove me crazy thinking I may have done something wrong or over tightened sway bar mounts or SOMETHNING so I loosened everything up on both sides and re-torqued to specs and no change.

I then removed the spacers re-torqued everything (getting pretty fast at it at this point) and the "plushness" of the stock suspension returned.

I liked the look (I rarly tow) but in my case it definitely affected the ride not to my liking.

Installed a 1” level over the weekend (put on a set of bronco badlands wheels and tires as well) haven’t really noticed any difference of significance in the ride.

Man, those wheels look great on the Ranger. Was the offset different? Do they stick out more than the Tremor wheels? I like the stock Tremor wheels but put a 1" wheel spacer on them for a better stance.

Great discussion about the spacers. I have gone back and forth on it, but at this point the only reason I would install them is to put bigger tires on the truck, which is way down the road. It does look good but I figure in this instance, Ford engineers know better than me.

They are +55, not sure what the stock tremor wheels are off the top of my head but it seems similar to my eye. I'm going to throw on a set of 1" spacers and it should be pretty close to flush with the fender and give me the look I want.

You do realize those multi thousand dollar replacement strut/springs still push the suspension down and increase CV angles...same as a "spacer" does..
Engineered for optimization tho. Just sayin

They stick out less. +55 for any Bronco or Ranger wheels with the exception of the Sasquatch wheels for the Bronco (+30) and Tremor wheels for the Ranger (+42).

I don't have much experience with struts but I can't see how a 1" spacer lift should have any significant affect on ride. If so it must be something else that is causing it.

I do have experience with 1.5" lift the front with a torsion bar adjustment. It also changes the angle of the CV joint. Many people were saying that would cause problems with ball joints too. I have 284K miles on the 1.5" lift and still have the original CV joints. The ball joints were replaced at around 200K miles but I think that is not unusual.

One thing that can be a problem with a torsion bar adjustment lift is the shock get extended. If it is lifted 2.5" like many people did, the shocks can hit the extension limit easier. This makes the suspension harsh when going over bumps. I never experienced this with the 1.5" lift. The nice thing about this kind of lift is is gives more compression travel to the suspension. I think that is an advantage off-road which I do a lot.

A 1 " spacer on a strut suspension should not move the position of the shock rod and does not compress the spring any. There would be a slight shift of weight to the rear, but minor. So, the only other thing left to affect ride is the change in the control arm level. That change is so insignificant that it would take a highly sensitive butt to feel that. Apparently, there are a few of those out there.
