Thatās exactly my sentiment - i like the lightbar a lot but the electronics on these trucks wonāt allow for it to be installed. Scary how much damage they do bc replacing an entire rear light with the sensors in it is very expensive. Which is why i suggest everyone take it a step further and do...
No code that Iām aware of (dealer has vehicle - itās a warranty item so Iām letting them spend time snd throw parts at it). They determine it was not the lightbar (got a new one and still hyper plus they took the lightbar completely out and it still hyper). Ford told them to replace trailer...
Thanks for your thoughts - Iāll be sure to add isolators on everything moving forward. In re to the hyperflashing, wouldnāt the problem also be solved by removing the splice altogether? I.e. when the lightbar is taken completely out of the equation, the Hyperflashing would stop due to all taps...
Feel free to skip my soap box rant the moral is check the trailer module if hyperflashing is not resolved by traditional methods.
Rant is below:
I had the dealer install the lightbar sold by ford parts that fits under the tailgate and reacts with brakes, reverse and turn signals. 2 weeks...
I detailed my truck the other day and noticed the āflaresā (they donāt really flare but are essentially flares) have no gasket where they meet the truck. That allows water and dirt to easily get behind and sit in there (which Iām not thrilled about in terms of long term damage) but it is also...
Mine came with both carpet and rubber. They did okay covering the floor but I like weathertech much more. If you want a set of Ford mats, Iāll sell you mine cheap - brand new.
I have a ā23 XLT Tremor with the vinyl. I too intended to buy a lariat but the dealership made me a great offer that I could not pass up. Frankly, I prefer cloth over leather in my trucks (my f150 seats came clean very easily, the cloth helped keep me in my seat when the truck got tossed...
I plan to get the mountune catch can system when itās back in stock. The trouble with it, and most other catch cans, is they locate them where the box for the aux witches are under the hood. Has anyone found a dual can with install meant for tremor setup? Or how about install tricks to get...
my ride did not change. It did put the truck slightly out of alignment. I scheduled the alignment in advance so I could get it done right after installing the 1ā level.
Thanks for the input. I went with the 1ā lift from fordrangerlifts.com - that guy was really great to work with and I feel good about 1ā being enough especially after reading your post.
Alignment is scheduled! Thanks for your input. Love the German Shepherd in your picture. We lost ours to old age a year ago - was the best dog I ever encountered.
I apologize, I shouldāve been more clear. I assumed the kit came from ford and that the dealer was using ford parts to do the leveling. Therefore, at first, I assumed ford knew what was needed to level their own stock trucks. I since learned, as you pointed out, that the dealer is not using ford...
Thanks everyone. I thought that 2.5ā was high but thatās what the dealer offered so I figured Ford knew how to level their own vehicles. 2ā seems to be the level number with 1.5ā still leaving a slight rake. I appreciate you all sharing your experiences. Iām going to do it myself and save the $.
I just bought a ā23 XLT w Tremor package. It also has the adaptive cruise, etc. The salesperson said that Ford charges $1500 for the leveling kit and install. Considering I did my own leveling on my F150 and that my local shop does them for $500 plus kit, I was familiar with the amount of work...
