Today it's back to working again, consistent hot air from both sides. I always leave it on dual and even messed with both side temp settings. The other day the drivers was stuck on high and was just blowing out very hot no matter where you set the temp. I was going to disconnect the battery but kind of forgot about it as it's been sitting in the garage since Saturday. Seems like an electrical gremlin and is hopefully gone now. Will try disconnecting the battery of it acts up again.

Auto mode uses the defrost and floor vents in my truck. Always has.

Which is prefered in my opinion. Who wants a bunch of hot air blowing in their face?

Same. My truck has never blown air out of the dash (hot or cold) when in auto mode.

My truck has always operated this way.

This is a grievance I have with the truck. Mine too ignores the face vents in AUTO, particularly irksome on hot days when you want a blast of AC.

AC comes out face vent just fine just not the heat. I kinda figured that it should come out the face vent sense the face icon is included when on auto just like the windshield and feet are.

Yes on both sides now as it always did. On Saturday it was blowing from the face vents but the drivers was very hot and the passengers was cool. Now the dual controls are working when set at different temps, they weren't on Saturday. I haven't done anything to it and it's been sitting for 3 days and now everything's working like it should.

Mine was set to dual today but I'm pretty sure they worked on auto too. I was just glad it was back to working normal again I didn't want to mess with any settings. lol

No for some reason even though it's set for auto updates it never does them.

Auto mode is crap. I've just set it up so that the airflow is legs & face only, fan i keep on automatic. If the windshield starts to fog up I just put the windshield electric heating wires on.

Agreed - I do the same thing.
