So the Lariat has a push button on (not engine start) can you completely turn off after pressing again? My Sync stays on until I open and close the door.

Yes, push it again and it turns accessories off.

I think the radio stays on until you open the door you can maybe enable dark car mode with Forscan, but I don't know if that will help with Sync.
