De-badging

Yesterday, I removed both sport stickers. I had the truck out of the garage, with the sun mostly on the back, and the passenger side getting some sun tangentially. It was warm enough to be able to separate one of the end tips with a finger nail, and then slowly pull it all. It came out clean, no glue residue. Then I maneuvered the truck to place the driver side on the sun because it was too cold. I went on to to some stuff and when I came back it was really hot. The sticker peeled off cleanly, except for the last couple of inches or so, where it left glue residue which almost looked melted. I used the sticker itself between my two hands to repeatedly touch the glue with the sticky side, and progressively get get all glue residue off the truck. My guess is that if had not been that hot, it all would have come off clean.

No need for chemicals or scratch wheels. Very easy when is new!

Those stickers were really bothering me!

Not those stickers, but the first thing I do is remove the dealer's name sticker.

Agreed! I pried off the dealer "chrome" plastic letters... When I was a Racecar Driver, if there was not money or product...there was no decal on my racecar. I paid for my Ranger, no free advertisement for the dealer. That goes for the plastic chrome license plate holder on the back...I cut out the dealer so it only shows Ford Oval on both sides of the bottom...Dealer name is blank.

As the Manager of Ranger Vehicle Engineering, and my team was the one that put the teeth into the FX4 brand, I will proudly display the FX4 on my pickup box.

Funny thing....the EB badge didn't bother me until I installed the Magnetic colored Eyecatcher tailgate letters. At first I was so-so on the new look but then I took off the EB badge and it looks so much better. I put the EB badge on the Engine shroud where it is out of sight until you open the hood. Seems like the proper place for it.....
