I have a buddy that won the Baja 1000 and Baja 500 classes multiple times - on a motorcycle.

Best Baja documentary ever made.
Yes both of those are amazing watches.

This thing is running on 35" tires that are about 20% wider than what comes on a stock tremor...which they can fit due the aftermarket bumper and long travel suspension kit clearly pictured here.

Most folks aren't coming even close to the tire size and stance they gave this raptor.
according to the website and a few others its running the same suspension it will come with from the factory so a mid travel setup not a long travel setup unless ford is going to give it LT from the start

When I look at what they raced, the wheels look pretty narrow, but they also have wider fenders so it probably hides much of the width.

the raptor has wider fenders not just the flares look beside the headlight and you can see they are most likely a an inch or two wider out

The average income in the states is 56k for males and almost 47k for females.

The average new vehicle price is over 48k.

The average joe can certainly afford a Ranger Raptor, unless they're completely hopeless with money or they're living above their means in other areas of their life.

I can certainly afford one, however, the stealerships will sell the few available to their "friends" or "preferred clients" (high end cash customers with tons of $$$ to throw around) who in return will resell them on BAT for tons over MSRP......why do you think there are so many "used" Broncos and Lightnings on there with just a 100 miles or so for sale?!......flipping them to make big $$$$.....I just want to opportunity to buy one at MSRP......but doesn't seem possible with the current set-up........

Here in the Philippines that game is not played. You buy for the proper price. But there is also no haggling. Now they do have specials and sales on occasion. But when you walk into the dealer and a Ranger is X price, that's what your paying. But no stupid markups.

There was a manufacturer here years ago that tried doing this. I can't remember if it was Hyundai or Toyota but they use to advertise a No Haggle deal trying to make the car buying experience better. I don't think it lasted long because all the rest never joined in. I absolutely hate dealing with car dealers now and dread buying the next Ranger.

Yes I don't envy you guys dealing with US dealers. If I buy a new one I know what I am paying. It will be the price in the reviews here.

It was Saturn - we bought two Saturns and it was the easiest and best car buying experience I've ever had - Zero haggling and they even gave you a good deal on a trade in. The only reason we quit buying them was because they didn't have the vehicle type we needed and obviously now they are no longer around. We traded our last Saturn in for an Explorer and have had Fords ever since.

It's also a Ranger Raptor, so yes, the wheels will be wider than a standard Ranger - they are running 17-inch forged alloy wheels with 315/70 R17 BF Goodrich tires. Seperate than tire width (contact patch), most guys on the street are running ridiculous offsets to push their wheels out. Hence my point.
Yes, I know it's a ranger raptor...hence my point. It's running massive tires, big offset, and very expensive suspension with the very specific goal of being Baja 1000 capable.

Whether you can buy it like that or not, it's a hight performance version of a normal Ranger that people try to emulate because it's either unavailable or they can't afford it.

I guess I don't understand your point.

Wife n I bought a Used Saturn (1 yr old) in the late 90s in Franklin TN and I’ll never forget that buying experience. The whole dang place gathered together and said some kinda inspirational saying all in unison and cheered us as we walked out the door.

Too bad the car was a complete pos.

Super desirable vehicles almost always sell for above msrp at first. It's the law of supply and demand.

Shit.. almost every new vehicle for the past 2 years has sold for above msrp.. and every other vehicle for above what they really should be too... supply and demand ?‍♀

It's the game of life. Gotta be willing to play else your gonna get run over.
