Just completed first road trip, 2200 miles round trip.

Ranger performed flawlessly!! The power was incredible and immediate. I even hauled about 300 extra pounds out and 600 extra pounds back…no issues.

I did stop at Buc-Eees once for gas and put in 93 ethanol free and it could be placebo effect but I swear it was like the truck had 5 Red Bulls ? I did average 24.5 most of the time, regardless of gas used.

The only issues really are 1)Halogen lights need upgrade, maybe I will also be an Auxito subscriber and 2) the seats are not uncomfortable per se but could be better, mainly lower thigh suppprt, it’s like the seat cushion is too short and needs angled upwards a bit. My last car I was able to do so and it was nice. I also am fully aware that a truck is prolly not the best choice for a long road trip. ?

I think I’m going to treat my truck to an earlier oil change at 4000 miles, look into the light upgrade and see about some aftermarket seat adjustments, otherwise very pleased with my truck!

Google up "Seat Jackers"....they raise the front of the seat so it becomes very comfortable.
Well made, simple inserts between floor and seat. Has 2 seat height positions. Have them and now, wouldn't be without them.

Is it the desertdoesit company? They have a molle system too. I may get both! Thanks for the recommendation!

We did a Disney trip in 2020 and drove the Ranger. It was about the same round trip distance as you did. We actually found the seats very comfortable and have no issues with using the truck for long trips. We are planning to go back to Florida soon for the birth of our granddaughter and will take the truck again over our other vehicles. Are Lariat seats different from XLT seats?

Yes...Desert Does It.
The Jackers actually work very well....raises the front for a more comfortable driving position. Feels like a recliner. I used the 3/4 inch height for me. Several on the forum have purchased them. Personally, I wouldn't go back to the stock seat position. Price seems a bit high, but in this case you get what you pay for.
My seats are the power, but they work just as well on manual seats.

They don’t have all the adjustments a lariat has. I was told to look into seat jackers and I believe that is the answer I’m looking for!

For the seat angle I used a half inch nut for the spacer, much less expensive for the same result. The bolts are plenty long to handle the extra height.

What additional adjustments do the Lariat seats have?

When I was looking I don't remember any differences between XLT power seats and Lariat power seats.

And Yes, the Ranger is a pretty good highway travel companion.

Downright excellent for a truck.

The manual only lists manual and power seats, so it appears all power are the same 8 ways.
