My control box is mounted to the winch. My winch is kind of laying on it's back with the control box up in the cavity in front of the intercooler.
The winch mount instructions address certain Smittybilt's. I had to dismount the Warn controller and rotate the head of the winch. Mounted the controller onto the supplied plate and that mounted into the bumper. I can send some pictures if that is helpful, just let me know. Be aware you'll have to make extension leads from the controller to the actual winch.
I have 20 feet of 2 gauge on its way to build the new cables. I'd love pictures.
