Didn't really know where to post this random musing but I hope it's within the spirit of this thread;

What I did with my Ranger today is let my "brother from another mother" take it on a test drive today. Noooooooot that it means anything or anything but his daily driver is a Tesla Model Y. (I still love him he is dependable as a brick.)

Well his feedback was "Uh.. uh.. uh... Adam...

I think I'm in love."

So we got that going for us! From the mouth of a Tesla driver. Fun Sunday morning.

The Ranger took me over to my sister's place to help dad put away the toys for the winter. Nice of them to buy a place we can store our toys.
Dad's a Mopar guy but I talked him into the '51 Ford.

'73 Plymouth Duster 340 under cover and my '76 Starcraft Holiday IO waiting for spring. We'd have more toys in there if my BIL would get his stuff out of there. ?

Love the flathead Fords. I was still able to lift the hood despite having a damper on the pickup.;) Thing weighs at least 30lbs and then you have to hold it up with one hand and put the prop rod in place with the other. :muscle: And then don't lift your head up lest you hit the point on the hood.

Dad gets a workout moving these around. No power steering or brakes and 3 pedals on 2 of them, and not the easiest vehicles to get in and out of. He did opt to leave the batteries in them this year, said he was too old to haul them in and out and this way if we have a day or two of nice weather, he can just hook them up and take a spin. We'll be over there monthly to give them a charge and check for rodents.
Just about ready for winter now.

Hi KJ,

Ever heard of the old Hot Rodder term Denver heads on a Ford Flat head? It turns out that cylinder heads on Ford Flatheads in high altitude had the head milled to increase compression ratio so power was close to same as standard altitude flatheads. Hot Rodders at the time found that they could increase power with Denver heads...milled heads from the "factory"....

Just a UBI.....Useless Bit of Informantion..

Best,
Phil

Hey Phil,
I haven't heard of that before and just read up on them.
Thanks for the UBI!

Of course the message appeared in app after battery was reconnected after waiting and everything else was checked already before.
Did I mention it’s cold, dark and raining outside? By the sea?
So yes, did few things with my truck today. Didn’t enjoy much though, but I’ll melt by the morning.

Parking job was immaculate! Looks like you could measure each end and it would be the same.

What I want to know is where are the fishing rods? I see you have the bait ready!
