I would not like it either. Brand new truck and already a body repair? At full price?I don't like that at all.
Ask if you could get a copy of the recorded document of the damages. I would contact Ford and tell them what you are up against, you don't want a truck that's been in the body shop. Escalate it quickly with Ford. Either Ford should knock off a nice chunk of the price, or should build you a priority 1 new truck.
I know I wouldn't want to order a new $35,000 and know it had been damage history.
Will the damage repair show up on the vehicle history? That would be a big consideration. And I would agree with Robert. I know it is a wait, but I would push for a rebuild as a priority 1 and a new build. And it may be a 2023 at this point.
