Explorer issues stemmed from the police vehicles and became an issue for all of them after that. This goes to the stupid amount of idling comment.

To be more spacific it had to do with any Upfitter equipment that was installed on the hatch. The fix? Install 2 or 3 rubber plugs on the hatch. I know because I did quite a few of them.

My wife had one for 5 years. Never even bothered with that recall. We never idled it. Kind of miss it, but the 6 speed 2.3 combination feels like garbage after driving the ranger.

Ive been running the SPD axle dump exhaust for a year. Never had any problems with exhaust glasses and I've sat idling in parking lots for 30+ mins quite a few times.

I'm running a MBRP axle dump exhaust and it's not loud at all. No hwy drone or anything but you will notice a bit of a rumble/growl on the exhaust note. Having a turbo really helps quiet down the exhaust. Also, never had an issue with the CO getting inside the cabin.

I want to get this exhaust for my Ranger too. Is there any drone?

? I think when you all are referring to CO I think you mean exhaust gases. CO is odorless and colorless but smelling exhaust gasses is a good indication of it’s presence… just sayin’..

I like the side exhaust because I can see carbon build up and maybe other strange emissions…

idk look at what happened with the explorers a little while ago
The bed and cab are 2 separate pieces so there's little chance that CO is coming into the cab vents, unlike the Exploder where the vents were much closer to the exhaust.

I chopped mine and put a small angled piece after the resonator to push the air down and out.

I put a muffler on as well so yours won't be this loud with just cutting the tip off.
