I had to take a pic of this Jeep when I stopped laughing

so dumb. All 6x6 Jeeps and trucks are stupid...
id agree with that with a few exceptions. i have always loved old jeeps esp the military ones but the more mall jeepers and bubble gummers i see with jeeps the less i want another jeep in the future.

More likely the additional suspension, tires, road contact, and increased wheel base would add ~30% to load and towing capabilities. It would greatly depend on how it was built, but the potential is there to increase load and towing significantly.
its possible it could add some beef but id bet its much more for looks than actual use or utility. could be just adding more dead weight.

Other than the original dodge T-REX the 6x6 concept is dumb. Just screams, hey world I am not well endowed.

Loos like a 'Tonka Toy'.... :)
That's an insult to Tonka! A friend told me my truck looked like a Tonka toy. And I thought "hell yeah!", and for a while I was looking for tonka yellow vinyl wrap and someone that could stamp me a new tailgate with T O N K A.

I'm not normally one to judge other folks mods, (I REALLY like the Bronco Raptor) but there's not a single part of that jeep that doesn't look stupid.

the Heeps I see in my area are downright mild compared to the ones here and in that reddit link.

I could see the 6x6 mod concept as having the potential to increase towing and payload, but I have major doubts that any of the ones I've ever seen pictures of actually manage to accomplish that in any meaningful way.

In fact, I have my doubts that any of the much-publicized 6x6 mods are anything but very expensive cosmetic mods.

It was parked down the street from my house all day, I just kept laughing at it, the tag axle is a straight axle like a trailer axle, small little brakes.

It looks weird the way they did the rear fenders to match the rake not the bed rail, that rear axle must really screech the tires on a U turn, it did not look like it has a goose neck in the bed like it was done for function, so it must just be for show.

I suppose in some certain conditions it would help off road, maybe sand or something you want to roll over, climbing, or anything else I would think it would be completely useless.

My wife looked them up and they run for over 100K (disclaimer, that could be incorrect, I did not look it up myself)

I almost posted it up as "I want to do this to my Ranger" but it's so fugly I couldn't bring myself to joke about it, that would piss my truck off (I could hear it also laughing when we drove by) ?

I bet there are those who will think it's cool, not me, it's always function over form for me, I consider it only really suitable for a parade or car show.

And I thought that the stock Gladiator was the ugliest truck I had ever seen!

it may have a longer bed. but too bad all the fake add ons basically used up half of its load and tow capacity lol.
I zoomed in on that chase rack. I don’t have an issue with the brand but it just seemed a bit down market for an expensive mod like that. I was expecting something from ADD, not Tyger Auto.

That’s a pretty bad ass fail for 120K ?

At least this truck has a drive axle back there, the blue one has a trailer axle, a frickin round tube regular old trailer axle with the little brakes, how useless unless you were towing a gooseneck trailer, which it isn't.

May have already been mentioned, I've not looked at the other replies. But, if I understood right in that the rear axle us not a driven axle, it would make off road use worse if the front and rear most axles remove weight from the center axle on some really uneven terrain, like starting up a hill with a very high approach angle. In this case the front wheels are the primary driven wheels with grip and just dragging the reset of the Jeep along. Maybe it increases the tow rating of the Jeep?

2 being hauled across Kansas yesterday, yet those were working twin screw rear ends. Highly modified beefed up under carriages etc. an outfit does them for specialty extreme campers built out west. Usually full size makes, yet do about every make/model.
