Installed the lights on the chase rack today, also got the 3rd brake light wired up. I love this look.
I started installing the rack on Tuesday morning, decided to wait and run the 3rd brake light wire until I had the other lights so that I could run all the wires together. Ran the hot for the 3rd brake light all the way to the front and then could not figure out where to attach it to make it work right. Went to my dealer and talked to a tech who told me that the best bet was to run it to the rear to one of the taillights. He gave me wiring diagrams (that were wrong) and I pulled the wire then ran it to the back. Got it all hooked up this evening and I could not be happier. I attached the 4 lights to the #1 aux switch (25A) which I think may be a bit of overkill but these lights were listed as 51W and my math in a 12 to 14 volt system says they could potentially draw 17 amps??? The relay that came with the wiring harness for the lights (I did not use it) was a 40A relay. Thoughts?
