Don’t have an OBD reader. And ford pass app didn’t say anything like it did for the OP. So I am hoping my educated guess was right. And if “dicking” around with the funnel did it - great ?.
It could also have been sun spots as Rick @Trigganometry pointed out the other day.
looking at my receipt from the dealer the code was P0496 and the part they changed was FTP sensor and tube assy.they had to lower the gas tank to change it. I also tried putting the fuel funnel in and out of the filler cap a few times and sprayed WD40 around the cap but the check engine light stayed on. I guess I will look at getting a code reader that will work on my truck and all of the families vehicles for future use. its nice to know what a code means before going to the dealer or just clear the code and see if it comes back.

Peter, I am convinced that many of these boxes work or don't work with a given service because there are these internecine rivalries between parent companies you and I don't even know or care about. I suspect that is why so many Apple/Google products interoperate "just OK to not at all".

The new version or the old version of “O Canada”?
My truck was undercoated in Nov 2021 an I got the P0496 code in mid May. I had the fluid film applied. I can go back for reapplications 2 more times for $50 each time. Initial spray was $150. I'm debating going back. If I do I will tell him to avoid the gas tank area. I sprayed above the gas tank with a hose an hit the car was for underbody spray before going in to the dealership. They didn't say anything about the undercoating but I'm afraid if they see the same truck for the same problem more than once they may question it an not cover it. I just started working at the dealership I bought the truck from part time as a parts delivery driver so taking it in an leaving it for a while won't be a problem.
see post #21 there is a ford tec guy on youtube that explains the process. he has many videos that are quite iinformative. he used to work at a ford dealership then quite and opened his own shop. he goes by the name Ford Tec Makeloco i think. my spelling may be wrong.
