Try it with the TC off and see if that is actually lag or the computer searching for traction.

As far as your consistency is concerend, I bet your locals just hate you as is in the street class.
All runs was with traction control off, and yea a guy with about a 96 z28 was talking about how consistent it was just before I beat him in the semi finals lol, he was spotting me, he dialed 8.88 and I was dialed 9.70, I gotta work on the reaction time and the truck be deadly with it being so consistent

Don't complain about your reaction time. I'll see if I can find one to show you, but if I run the tree with one of my trucks the same way I do with my Corvette, I pull .600 RT's. It just takes a little while longer to get that mass moving and my brain can't adjust moving from vehicle to vehicle.

One more thing about your runs, I am seriously surprised that you are getting a dead hook in 2 wheel drive. You must have some incredible track prep. I could never get that to happen at our local track with any of my trucks.

The local track here always does a good job with prepping the track, the truck worked good, only chirping the tires for about a truck length, not really spinning at all

You should seriously think about a tune. The shifting sharper in bandwidth and lag would non existent. Especially in S mode
I think I’m gonna leave it stock, I just wanted to see what it run, I had 19 Tacoma that ran a best of 10.06 and a 22 frontier that ran a best of 10.00! I probably won’t even take it down the track again, I was just wanted to see what it would run

.600 on a bulb tree isn't bad at all (red light at .500 vs the LED going at .000).

Hell even a .600 on an LED will get you rolling before most.. non professional nights anyway.

That's excellent. We never get that type of grip here.

I'm going to put up 2 timeslips for you to illustrate. These are with my '07 Ram 2500 Cummins 6-speed. You are welcome to laugh at my reaction times with that truck. But as I said, I just can't adjust to it when I run it.

Anyway, the first slip is 4 wheel drive off the line (I missed the 2-3 shift on this run so everything after the 60' is slower than normal). The second (right lane) is in 2 wheel drive, but a full run. Take a look at the difference in my 60's with that 4 wheel drive launch. Almost a full 10th.

The only time I actually laugh at people R/Ts are those that say drag racing is too easy then leave the line with 5.678 R/Ts. It's all part of the run and sometimes they are doodoo when you move to a new platform. Shit happens.

One reason I thanked OP for warning the Ranger takes a tenth of a second or so to roll out and get moving. Trying to keep mine in my old average... When I had more time to get to the track.

I’m same way, it’s hard for me to adjust to it too, it just don’t have that “instant” movement when I nail the throttle, and that’s running good for a big heavy truck u got

Yes, I completely understand. I've been running since the early 2000's. I have an absolute passion for it. I haven't done any bracket racing the last few years due to my kids activities, etc. But, I absolutely love it.

Thanks, I think it was just shy of 7400 lbs the last time I scaled it.

I went to the drag strip Friday night with my all stock supercab sport 4x4 ranger to see what it would run, ran a best of 9.67 in the 1/8th mile.

Your reaction time is good especially for pre priming it just goes to show how hard these things hit the boost based on the times but for a stock truck thats pretty great performance
