Aftermarket 12" screens

Just wondering if anyone has installed any of the aftermarket 12" Radio screens and what functions did you keep and/or lose.

Can you fit a 12" in our 5G Ranger? My guess you would lose any Ford function available on screen, such as climate control and Ford Pass.

Take a look at solutions from idatalink like their maestro modules. Depending on what your truck has now and what system you are going to put in, you can retain most everything that you have including climate controls. I haven't done it myself, but have watched a bunch of videos from Five Star Car Audio on Youtube and they do it all the time.

That's a really nice looking replacement but... For that price you can pick up a really nice Double Din unit paired with the Maistro adapter and trust it will work as expected and get support should you ever need it.

There are aftermarket companies like adcmobile.com, rhino radios, aliexpress.com and others...just wanted to see if anyone has installed one and results so far.

that unit isnt that spendy for the hardware....but the skills involved to install it are out of my league and likely my budget.

Not spendy for a quality piece of hardware, but pretty spendy for an unknown Chinesium piece of potentially dubious hardware.

I can fit a 40" TV in the back seat and plug it into the ac outlet on the center console. Take that puny stock screen.

the 5” screen is bad enough, I want buttons back, but gf said I had to get heated seats so I had to order all the other crap that came with it

I have the XLT so 8 inch. But yea base no Bueno ?
