Here's a happy thought. I have a build date scheduled for August 8th or at least the week of. So I'm guessing I should get my Ranger sometime between 3 and 7 months from now. And from the shipping problems I understand they have I'm being very generous

22 Ranger XLT Tremor
I found a Velocity Blue XLT Tremor at a dealer 100 miles away and emailed the dealership asking about pricing. At first, they were at $2500 over MSRP plus the already applied "interior/exterior protection package" for another $2500. I declined and thanked them for their time. They came back at MSRP plus the appearance package. I once again declined. They asked what it would take to get me in the truck? I replied stating that I was waiting on an ordered Ranger with X plan pricing, but since it was taking 5+ months, I was looking at local availability. They agreed to take X plan and cut the $2500 add on in half to $1250. I accepted, since it also saved about $900 in dealer fees alone.

Once all the math was done, I got it for about $1k under MSRP. This was done over the fourth of July weekend. They seemed really desperate to move the unit and kept offering me better deals until the final price was $7500 less than their initial offer. I expected an upsell on warranties or financing, but I brought my own financing and there was no sales pitch in the Finance Office. I'm stunned, yet extremely happy with the deal. Other local dealers were firm with markups on Tremors. It had about 20 miles on it when I picked it up.

I ordered a supercab on April 30...2021. I got a VIN months later but eventually that model year expired and it got rolled over into 2022 with a new VIN. After more months of inaction and several calls to the dealer, he said that after conferring with the plant, I would have much better luck if I removed some of my ordered items, such as the tonneau cover, and the spray in bed liner...and the back seats! What could I do? Of course I capitulated.

Their order status website currently shows an order date of 10/29/2021 (actually that's the rollover date, not the original order date) and that it's 'In Production' since 4/28/2022.

Ford customer service tells me it's built (maybe, mostly, probably), but it's on 'Delay - Plant Hold', which apparently means any number of things, effectively eliminating knowing anything specific. The second most recent delivery date was June 19 to 24, but that got pushed out to July 21 to 27. I asked my dealer how confident he was of that estimate. He was halfway.

I surely hope I'm one of the 499. In (now foolish) anticipation, I bought about $1,000 in accessories.

It's funny, huh?
ordered 01/31/2022, in production since 04/08/2022, Ford customer service tells me it's built (maybe, mostly, probably), but it's on 'Delay - Plant Hold', delivery date was June 19 to 24, but that got pushed out to July 21 to 27.
I have the same problem, what does "Delay-Plant Hold mean, no one knows, what is why I say it fell into the black hole of "In Production" in which there no return.

Mine too. Have a build date for the week of Aug. 22nd so could be a Xmas present Ranger or a happy new year 2023 Ranger. Not holding my breath either way. But as many say here it will be all worth the wait. I hope so.

Hello Rangers
My XL shop truck hopped a freight and showed up at the dealer last Thursday, July 7th. It eas reported shipped on June 19 and no rail tracking info was ever provided. I'm in the Tampa, Fl area so the trip took about three weeks.
I picked it and every thing was clean and detailed very well.
I'm not a truck person but it drives pretty much like a car, not lumbering like the larger pickups. I'm building a new garage/hot rod shop at my house so this will serve nicely as the 'Shop Truck'
One thing I noticed the spray in bed liner was finished very well with no sloppy edges or overspray like I see on after market spray jobs.

I did notice the squishy brake pedal but it seems to have improved with a few miles, maybe it's me getting used to it. Acceleration and shifting seems pretty smooth and I'm not seeing the jerkiness others have reported.
So good luck to all of you guys and gals patiently waiting.

10 months is way too long! Glad she's on the way!
We may need to start a new thread for those that ordered 2022 that got built AND delivered AFTER the 2023 get built and delivered. If my 2022 gets scheduled in September (last month of MY2022 production) but shipping delays cause it to be deleivered after my local dealers have 2023's in stock, I will not be a happy camper. :lipssealed: :computerrage:

I picked up my super cab on 6/30, for everyone that is waiting all I have to say is be patient. The wait is definitely worth it, holy cow is this thing sweet. This truck is definitely head over heels better than my 06 Ranger. Just hang tough guys and gals.

This picture inspired me to purchase those same style 'Magnetic' (that's a color?) rims separately from another Ranger someone had removed for some other option. I don't believe those rims weren't available as an option for the XL, or at least not with the option/package choices I selected. But wow, they do look great! Mine is also a Supercab in carbonized gray, so this is a good preview for me. Thank you for posting the picture.
