Our local Lowe's usually asks me before I have a chance to scan MyLowes account.

In Calif You can get a Veteran branded drivers license, which works for all discounts, from state parks to Lowe's to free meals at some places. I have it on mine so I don't need to show a military ID (which I also carry), and another perk is when I was stopped for speeding in the Ranger (who? Me?) the officer thanked me for my service and told me to slow down and have a nice day!

So far the highs and lows of my life were in the military. Lowe's discount is awesome, but for me far from the best thing about being a veteran. To each their own though. Cheers ?.

1962-1966...Homestead AFB, Fl. 10 months walking around a B52 In Security Police carrying a 30. Cal. carbine: 12-hour shifts, in every kind of weather. Then, one of my heroes (lol), Sgt. Homer J. Lacy, asked me if I wanted to go to Law Enforcement. WHAT? lol....The next 3 years were great! I used the GI bill and got a degree in CJ, and spent the next 30 years as a PO with the Metro, now Miami-Dade PD (Sheriff's Dept). It all started with the AF...
