Today we went to Bryce Canyon. We were there back in 2020 and really love it here so we took the 2 hour drive back today. We wanted to do one last hike and it's 20 degrees cooler up there. We did a 3 mile loop which takes you down into the canyon so you're staring straight up and all the HooDoos which was amazing. The last time we were here we only did a small hike which didn't bring you all the way down and then walked around the top rim. I was really surprised to hear Annie say she loved this one and didn't find it difficult at all. Maybe all that shopping I did with her has finally paid off. This is a must add for your bucket list. There were so many great sights and colors with the sun hitting them from different angles.

We started at Sunrise Point and ended at Sunset point. Everyone said this is the best way to do this loop and I do agree.

There's a lookout from the top before you start going down and this is the main view from above.

The first leg of the trail is called Queens Garden.

Here you can see them right in front of you as you descend farther down.

Once you're down on the floor of the canyon you're now looking up at all the HooDoos. I've said it before that pictures don't do it justice on how large these really are.

This area is called Wall Street. I'm guess they named it because it looks like all the large building on Wall St.

Here's where you start climbing back out. It's nice they have stairs but it is fairly steep and has many switchbacks all the way up to the top. I wouldn't want to be caught here in a thunderstorm.

Finally getting closer to the top. The last couple turns never seemed to end.

At the top you're now at Sunset Point. The views here are really great and others have said the sunsets from here are amazing.

Thanks Phil. It really is a great hike and one of the only ones that's fairly easy that get you right down into the base of the canyon. When I saw all those stairs and switchbacks I though Annie was going to kill me. lol But she even said over dinner it was a really great trail and she enjoyed it. ? Maybe next year I can talk her into Angels Landing.?

Still loving the pics Dave.
Thanks Steve I'm glad you and everyone else have been enjoying them! Unfortunately I think this was our last big day because we have to start cleaning up and getting packed up tomorrow so we can leave Sunday morning.

I decided to take the back way home down 12 then to 9 which leads through the back way of Zion. It's got to be one of the worst parks for parking (understandable because of the layout) and you really have to take the shuttle from town to get there. What's nice is there wasn't much traffic so I got a few good shots as we were driving through. I have perfected the art of driving with my knees on this trip. :lipssealed:?

There's a tunnel you have to go through which is just over a mile long. Pretty cool how you're traveling under the rocks like this.
