I never saw any signs for Roughlock Falls or even saw it on the map we had. Would've loved to stop there but glad you found it and posted them. Those are great pictures!! ?Took a road trip and did some sightseeing. Spearfish Canyon is a beautiful drive. Uncle Dave already posted a pic or two. We found Roughlock Falls on the drive. It’s kind of hard to find but worth it

On a side night, if you go a couple of miles past the falls, they have a marker showing where the final winter camp scene from Dances with Wolves was filmed.
I missed that too. Of course my copilot is always on her darn phone so I'm blaming her. It is tough to find. On 14A, little place called Savoy. Take FSR 222.I never saw any signs for Roughlock Falls or even saw it on the map we had. Would've loved to stop there but glad you found it and posted them. Those are great pictures!! ?

Remember the days we use to only have cassette tapes and an atlas of maps to navigate the route to take! Boy I sure don’t miss those day’s! ?I never saw any signs for Roughlock Falls or even say to on the map we had. Would've loved to stop there but glad you found it and posted them. Me neither! I was just telling Annie the other day when we use to go to my parents house in Florida from Mass I had a map that I added tabs to the top with numbers. This way it was easier for the passenger to look through it and navigate it to me. lol It was mostly a straight shot down but there are a few bypasses and once you get into Florida you had to cross over to the west coast side. The built in nav and the phones gps is so much easier now and reroutes you when there's either traffic or an accident.Remember the days we use to only have cassette tapes and an atlas of maps to navigate the route to take! I do remember seeing Savoy, oh well hopefully we'll get back there sometime soon. I really enjoyed our stay there and knowing what I know now I would've booked it for another 2 days. These next couple days we're just killing time making our way west through CO seeing the sights which is still nice but I would've rather of stayed there another couple day and then went to Marks house. It is tough to find. Ughhh, lets see.....We had a great time with Dave @AzScorpion and his wonderful lady....Too bad it was so short. We had a few glitches with Estes Park on Friday....the biggest being we couldn't get into Rock Mountain NP because of no reservation and then the rain hit. We had a great Italian lunch at Sweet Basilica in Estes before they headed out on the next leg of their adventure. Dave you are welcome back to our house anytime man! You and Ms. A are a class act for sure! Hopefully we can make that trip to Yellowstone work for next year.....
On a funny side note.....I didn't even look at Dave's damper....lol. (although I meant too)
I also forgot to give them a stick of my Antelope sausage I made specifically for them coming...lol.
Forgot to even give them a taste.....Dave has that mesmerizing effect on you so you forget things...
His truck looks great btw.....I'm jealous of those Eibach coil-overs man!

Yep Steve.....you missed it brother....Ughhh, lets see.....
You didn't see Dave's "Damper", and you forgot to give him some of your "sausage"...
Am I missing something here ???![]()
