I had the standard non-FX4 suspension and just put Eibach Pro-Truck struts/shocks on all four corners. Like the others have said, it’s night and day. The Eibachs are definitely stiffer, but not uncomfortably so. The ride and stability is improved. The bounce is gone. Even just the rears made a big difference, but once I installed the fronts it was like a whole new truck.

I'm using the shadow shocks that came with the superlift 3.5 in the rear versus the FX4 shocks but the shadow has a lot of play and making clunking noise while driving. I might have to go with Fox like you have. Can you share the exact same part number?

I got them here on sale. I replaced the factory shocks about two weeks after buying the truck. The back end just felt so unsettled.

I did the Fox 2.0 rears yesterday with Timbren bump stops. (I have a trailer) I'm more of an "Urban Assault" guy than an "Off Road" guy. Though I'm really happy with the change, I wanna say that I don't get that OMG! sense the way others do. My take is more of going from an "Abnormal" ride to a "Normal / Propper" ride. I don't feel as tossed around as I did with the nasty @$$ FX4 nonsense. I'm doing the fronts in two weeks. VERY MUCH looking forward to that!

Just do it. They are a stiffer shock but in a good way. They also absorb the bumps a lot better. The FX4's were bouncy and also were harsh just hitting bumps. I have Eibachs front and rear but I remember even just hitting speed bumps with the FX4's and had to cringe a bit after the rear tires went over them. Now I just hit them and go, no cringing, just gun it

Fronts on the 18th. Appointment confirmed.
I'll need some new decals to replace those FX4 decals with!

Ok, finally after almost a year my Eibach rears have been installed.

The difference is instant in a good way. Not so much a bouncy ride anymore but it remains to be seen. I really think it’s going to be a great mod. Need some miles and terrain to be certain..

Film at 11..

I had mine about year as well, it rides nice. I had to re torque the front shocks on the bottom where it connects to the LCA twice.

I should have said “finally” installed. Today is day one.

You'll do fine, I have the Fox 2.0 in the front with total of 3.5 inch lift from suspension lift. But I'll be going to Eibach here in few months and not use any spacers. The Eibach is the only one that can handle a higher lift in the front and most of the shocks advertise up to 3 inch only. I was pushing the Ranger to the max to achieve a 295 70R17 tires.
If I have cash to burn, I'll go with APG or Baja Kits with extended arms and mods flares.
