With so many last minute things to do before leaving Friday morning, I still made time to give Money Pit a bath! Not sure why (it's my OCD!) because it'll be dirty all over again as soon as we go through Monument Valley. lol

I always love the way the Saber color looks as the sun goes down. It really brings out the bronze tone in it. Plus the gallons of 303 Graphene/Graphene Detailer on it helps too. ?

I joined the 303 club last night after a bird dropped a bomb on my door and etched the s**t (literally) out of my paint. I’m really hoping this stuff will help prevent future damage.

Bird ? is the worst if you don't get it right away! I did notice one dropped a bomb on my roof and it came off without leaving any damage. Now I have no idea how long it was there either because I'm only 5'7" and can't see the roof unless I'm standing on my steps. lol But I try to make a habit of looking up there every day since then.

I do 3 coats of the Graphene Nano Spray for added protection once a year and then follow up with the Graphene Detailer every 4-5 weeks. For our intense sun this seems to work the best and is the only thing (besides a ceramic coating) that I've found to last out here.

Started piecing the puzzle together.

I also started some work on the 90 degree flip-up wall hatches. I will probably work on the frame tomorrow. Kind of just mocked it up this evening. I did complete one hatch lid, wrapped it, and also attached a molle panel to it.

Molle is terrible at sagging over large spans so I just went basic and added some well placed staples on the front side, then painted the staples black. Not really noticeable unless you get your face right up on it. Once pouches and other items are up though, most will be covered.

Put in another order for some more faux pebble leather and some more gas struts, should be able to finish it sometime next week.

I'm kind of digging upholstry work, so once all this is done I think I might give a shot at building my own overhead console instead of paying ARB $500 for theirs. I bet I can do it for $100 or less and look just as good.

Think this is going to work out nicely. Not really loaded down yet, but no sag.

This morning I go out to another bombing run but it hit my back door this time and with such force that it went behind the door through the gap ! This time however the poo had dried on top of the 303 coating and was literally peeling away from the paint with no damage underneath. I’m sold ! I need to build a garage ?

Glad to hear it worked for you. Sounds like your truck is a magnet (or a huge bullseye) for them. lol I'd add a 2nd or even a 3rd coat to the hood and roof areas just in case you don't get to it quick enough and it's baking in the sun.

Great idea, I’ll be doing that this weekend

Finally got the cold side pipe on (aFe charge pipes) today. I had to loosen the intercooler to allow some forward motion, but it wasn't quite enough. So, I had to loosen the grill, too. What a pain in the ass. I also got with aFe's installation support and told them that they need to re-evaluate the hardware they include. Only one clamp fits where they say to put it. The others are all too small. They said they relayed it to the R&D people to look at.

Here you can see where this is going. Sadly, I'm on stand-by till more leather gets here Saturday. I also realized I am out of camlocks and need to order some more. /sadpanda

One of those projects where you just get in the zone and don't realize it when hours fly by.
