I have a Lariat on order since March and just received this from my dealer:

22MY Ranger Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps
  • The automotive industry continues to be confronted by supply chain shortages of a wide variety of components used to manufacture Ford vehicles
  • As a way for customers to get their Ranger trucks sooner, Ford has implemented the following product offering change process: Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G)
    • All Lariat orders will require Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) through the remainder of the 2022 model year. The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $500 for optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp / Fog Lamps.
    • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to the orders. Following this communication, dealers should add Option Code 87G (Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps) to Ranger Lariat retail & fleet unscheduled orders by Friday, May 27th.Those Lariat orders that are not updated by Friday, May 27th will be amended by Ford to include the Lariat Optional Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th.
    • Lariat stock orders in unscheduled and scheduled status will be amended by Ford to include Optional Lariat Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th. After this date, Option Code 87G will need to be added to all newly entered Lariat orders
That blows! These are the days we are in, sorry to hear this news for anyone who will lose their LED lights.

Wow that is one of the main selling points and only 500$ credit seems a bit low imo considering the retail costs on these things

Wow that sucks and $500 isn't enough IMO for a LED drop.
Those LED is what made the Lariat stand out. Sounds like a more expensive XLT

Man that is upsetting! I'm sure many others agree that the LED headilights were one of the major selling points for me (in addition to the B&O speakers).

This might sound silly but if mine comes in other than the way I ordered I will not take it. I'm due to be built next week. Does this mean I may not have the headlights I ordered?

From how it reads, it sounds like only unscheduled customer orders will be affected while all dealer stock orders will be affected. I’ve had mine ordered since Feb but no VIN yet so I suspect my near $50k Lariat Tremor will now have Halogens. Since you’re already scheduled you may be safe.

I sincerely hope so. I hear ya. I'm at47k as well. It's not a Tremor but an FX4 with all boxes checked minus bed liner. I'd hate to walk away, but will. That said I sure hope something changes and yours gets them as well. This just plain sucks. I'm waiting on the truck I ordered not a modified version of it.

Exactly the same reasoning. Can't belive the price differnce between the head and foglight assemblies are only $500. If true - then those halogen headlights are damn expensive.

This crap, I ordered in March, and willing to wait , but how many times is Ford going to pull this sort of shit before I even get a build date. 500 more for led, 1000 more for tremor, 500 for lariat gauge cluster, 500 more for ass, blah blah blah. Before I know it I should ha e bought one on a lot for the dealer markup 3 months ago
