When I asked my sales man I got a deer in the headlight looks....sales manger then printed it out and handed it to me. . . Sales man I did not know we could get the VIN. . , and that was about 3 weeks after I ordered it.
Unfortunately this is way too common. Every time I shop for a vehicle I know way more than they do. If only it was their job to be informed on what they were selling...

Lol thanks guys. I'll give the marketing number a call tomorrow, then I'll head to the dealership and see if theres a manager there I can talk to.

You might try Ford Marketing at 18003344375. They'll need at least your order number and dealer. Maybe some additional info...can't remember when I called for my VIN back in December.

I just called that number to infer if I have a VIN yet. Should have it next week. But the point is - I was informed I had 2 incentive Certificates under my name that I was not aware of. The nice lady I spoke with sent these to me via e-mail when I requested.

These are not chump change token incentives either. The direct offer is $3500 cash. I do not know what the other is yet.

Point is call and see what you might have sitting out there. really worth a phone call to check.

When did you place your order? It'll give me an idea of when I should start hounding about my VIN.

That's good info on the incentives. My salesman said this is something their dealership does on all of their sales; mentioned he was able to get one of his customers something like $3k back in incentives (take that for what it's worth). I still may still call that number though...

Thats awesome if they follow through though. I got an extra $500 from them on the phone and they gave me certificate numbers to redeem it and at delivery the certificate number came back with a value of $1 not $500. I told dealer thats a deal breaker for me so they honored it and tried to get the money back from Ford with no luck yet.Thing is why would ford give me a certificate number for $1?? They have our whole conversation documented but still are not honoring it! Go figure

I've been meaning to call to make sure the 3 different offers I have are usable together (2 I know I am). Think I'll call today.

Edit: Called and they didn't show all of the offers I was aware of and then when I pointed that out, they directed me to my dealer for verification they would be stackable. 10 more days I'll find out.

Called marketing who then called the dealership. They have no record of my order. The sales guy is still insisting it exists and hes still waiting on a VIN. I ordered 8 weeks ago. I confronted the sales guy and he told me his manager confirms there is an order, but when I spoke with the dealership on the phone they said they don't have it and the manager is going to call me back about it...So I went up there to just see whats going on and asked for the General Manager and they pawned another dude off for him( I knew it wasn't) and asked about my order. He said it was indeed ordered. I asked why them was I told on the phone it wasn't and he didnt haven't an answer. At this point I'm not sure what to do. I feel like I'm being screwed somehow. I really dont want to have to cancel my order and start again at another dealership. This stinks.

Wow. The dealer sounds like a collection of buffoons.

I would demand to talk to the manager or owner. Most dealers have photos on line so you can get the name and know what the person looks like. Demand proof of order.

Do not take word for it.

I wouldn't demand anything, or say anything. Just a waste of precious time that god granted you. Take your money to another dealer, that easy.

Congratulations to @Buckmaster404 and @Rinn69 for taking delivery of their Rangers!
Loving the truck. 800 miles and no issues. Been an f-150 man (4 of them) my whole life. Takes a little getting used to the auto shutdown at red lights and the truck seems to idle much higher than an f-150. But it is a nice truck that I hope will be as dependable as my f-150's. Hope all you guys waiting get em soon.

I agree with this. Life’s too short. I looked at one dealer and could never talk to the same person twice. Walked away.

Does anyone have any info on detailed tracking of the trucks? My tracking says production was finished on 5/2 and it is still awaiting shipment. Little over two weeks of waiting now, what gives haha. Trying to patiently wait. VIN: 1FTER4FHXKLA44685
It indeed was produced on the 2nd. Then it was released to the Body Company, presumably to have a bed liner installed. It then returned to the assembly plant where it has been awaiting shipment since the 8th.

When you originally ordered, did your salesperson give you any documentation? All orders get a document called a DORA. Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. It is every option and body code that makes your order up. Did you receive anything like that?
