Did a few more mods... Last ones for today ?

First up tailgate damper.. it's almost a right of passage. The written instructions have some mistakes but pictures are all you need.

Next up were the carbon looking ranger letters on the tail gate. I think they look great and just the right size.

I replaced the tow hooks and factory skids with ARB stuff. Thank you to our friend Frank @Stage3Motorsports.

Didn't need to lift it in the driveway, just laid on my Mac's mat and did one part at a time. I done with laying on the ground to work on rigs though, as I'm almost too old for this $#!T.

Some FORscan modifications.

For whatever reason, I couldn't get it to add parking lights to the DRLs. It kept saying it was unable to write the blocks due to an incompatible configuration. Any ideas?

Hi Folks,

Today the Ranger was pressed into service to head to our Good Friends daughter and son in law's place so I could remove a cook top to get ready for new kitchen counters. Son in law is in tough shape having at 65 being diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer which spread to his spine and weakened it to the point it is now fractured. Daughter called most of the electricians in Tucson and they were booked through the end of May, so I got the call to pull the cook top... No idea of what was involved but it took about 20 minutes to pull the 240V wiring and remove the cook top.... I will also do the reinstall of the new cook top after the new counter tops. Son in Law likely will not make it and complicates things for Daughter. I will follow their lead on installation.. Old cook top will likely be in Mexico by next week via our friend and our gardener, Jesus M.

Best,
Phil

Praying for your SIL Phil. It’s an incredibly heinous disease. I just lost my youngest sister 4 months ago, and my even younger 1st cousin 2 months ago. Sis had it in lungs and cousin in the brain. Terrible to have to see them suffer through that. I’ll pray for your SIL and your family. I wish you all the best.

Installed Ford branded Trailer Brake Control over the weekend.
Straight forward to do, but not easy.
Now it can legally tow increased weight.
But the last time I towed was 1971. Only a three rail motorcycle trailer.
Didn't really need to add this to the truck. But I'm ready if something comes up.

Well, I picked up my ‘22 Scab on Thursday. When I got it home it looked like this.

I put the WeatherTech floor liners in that afternoon, since they had been waiting to be installed. Saturday the Putco lower grill insert came so Sunday afternoon I put it in.

Much to my surprise the Westin HDX Nerf Steps came this morning around 8:00 am, so being retired what better way to spend some time with my truck than install them.

Drove mine for many days in a row with no bird like noise. Very happy. Thanks to Ford for finding one issue (but was assumed by a member here) and the other by a member of the forum 100% for finding the other. Like it much more without the constant annoyance.
