2019 Ranger Lariat FX4
51,000 miles (Update 4/20/22 52,500 miles)
100% mechanically stock
93 octane gas only
So, first of all, except for this issue, the truck runs great. I run 70+ highway speeds and not a blip at all - ever. I consistently get 20-23 mpg mixed driving. Love the FX4 shocks and the damper.
The issue is when I run slow, constant speeds - between 25 - 30 mph. The truck bucks. It feels like it's skipping. VERY noticeable. Of course, it doesn't do it all the time - but most of the time. As soon as I accelerate - either a little or a lot, it stops the bucking and runs great. It only happens at a constant speed around 25-30 mph. The truck is 100% up to operating temperature so it's not a cold engine thing. I did have the TSB when new (~10K miles?) for the cold engine thing. It resolved that back then.
Ran it in Drive and Sport and it doesn't seem to matter, still bucks. This leads be to believe its not the transmission however, I'm NOT a mechanic so I certainly could be wrong.
Took it to the dealer and they couldn't replicate it - surprise.
Before I take the time off of work and drive it with the tech in the truck, has anyone experienced this?
