I am currently experiencing this issue when I let off the gas between speeds 73-85 mph. It’s a humming sound I’ve been able to pin point coming from the drivers side footwell area-not the rear. It lasts roughly 2 seconds when letting off the gas and currently have 13k miles on my 2023 fx4 lariat. Going to bring it up to the service advisor when I go in for my 15k oil change and will update if anything comes up.

Is the road pretty flat or has a dip? I hear mine when the road is not flat but on a even flat road I don't hear it.

Let me know if y’all get it figured out. I’ve had the same issue for a while now. No luck from dealer to fix it. Taken it in 3 times

Well went to dealer and they diagnosed it as a misbalanced tire/an alignment issue. It made the sound less noticeable for about 200 miles but now it is back to being the same. Don't waste your money on an alignment/tire balance-going to the dealer in another month or two and seeing what else it could be

I vaguely remember someone saying this could be a misaligned driveshaft angle or something. It could’ve even been earlier in this thread.

I had this same issue when I first bought my 2019 pre owned at 22k miles. Over time it went away on its own. It wasn’t very bad.

I towed a roughly 3,500 pound trailer this weekend for about 25 miles. This morning on my commute to work the sound returned. It still isn’t bad. Only in deceleration at highway speeds. Fairly faint in volume.

I guess I’ll wait it out again. Though this weekend I gotta move the trailer about 5 hours so… lots more towing time coming up. We’ll see if it worsens.

Maybe your tires, try and rotate them, check the pressure, balance
Cheap and easy to see if that takes care of it.

Mine while having good tread and get constant rotation sound horrible. 70k on mine. I need new ones

I hate Salisbury type diffs, every one I've ever owned has been noisy. Much prefer the banjo style where you can remove the centre and set it up properly. Maybe I've just been unlucky. Bring back the Ford 9"! Had one of those in my old Bronco and apart from changing the oil, changed the pinion seal at about 250,000 Km, never otherwise gave an ounce of trouble, and that Bronco was well used for the 500,000 odd Km I owned it.
