I get 16 in town and 19+ if I can cruise on the highway. It’s down, but…not by that much. We’ll see what happens when we get back to summer gas.

For giggles I mounted the spare off my Tacoma to see how it looked. It is a BFG KM3 LT255/85R16, close to the 255/80R17.

Not real skinny, not too tall ...I find my 255 70 R/18 Rugged Trek ( 32") are a good all around tire on and offroad...

Is it? The original post asked about 6.5 inch wheels. Thats like a 195 or 205 tire

I remember when I took delivery of my truck I got so much crap for keeping the stock steelies, I had to keep explaining the look and how I was planning on some 32.5"s or 33"s (high and tight pizza cutters lol). Everyone at the dealer was trying to sell me some of those deep dish specials that you run low pro mud tires on for the poked out skateboard look ?

It's not always easy to see someone else's vision. People always ask why I kept the stock wheels. It's just what I have in my head.
