Which is why you never run 4x4 on dry pavement. Offroad, the tires will slip enough to prevent binding. If a 1/4" difference in wear between tires is a problem, you better get a precisely calibrated air gauge to be sure there is no difference in diameter between any of the tires.
I'm pretty sure 95% of people on here already know not to put it in 4-wheel drive on dry pavement. If you think that happens from everyone here I don't know what to say

Of course, they do. But I think a difference in wear from front to rear wouldn't cause bucking when driving off road. But as I said elsewhere, I don't have 4x4, so what do I know.

My 2010 F150 ran fine with the spare which was almost an inch smaller than the other three. No errors or bucking.

With an even smaller tire, it gave me ABS error messages on the dash but drove smoothly for 10 miles back to the shop.

I'm hoping i get a roofing nail in one of my tires.

I'm itching for a reason to upgrade them

I for one....am not a cheap bastard....... most of the time.
Are you implying that someone here is a cheap bastard?

If you wear difference between front and rear is big enough it can off road. It may not be as noticeable versus if you did it on the street but it would still be noticeable

You should be nicer to Bob, he likes rifles.
If someone's skin isn't thick enough to take a little heat from RP or other users, you shouldn't be driving a Ranger. Tacoma might better fit your lifestyle

No, a Tacoma is not for me, can't tow enough. As for RP, he's no problem. My humor doesn't work well in the US for some reason (I blame Eastern European grandparents that raised me, only joke they knew was Poland) people think meaningless things bother me, in reality I just have the free time to banter about non-sense.

Jusy buy the 2 for an axle. When in 4x4 and your tires are spinning flinging mud doing donuys in the sand, tires sliiping crawling over rocks, climbing over a log bashing the skid plates, smoking tires doing burnouts, driving 60moh down a gravel road

One tire is 28/32 and the other is 20/32. Youll be fine.

Everyday i lift a tire in the air going into my garage driving up my drive way.

We drive trucks. Not Subarus. Or ridgelines

I dont know the measurements, but its all dust in the wind when air pressures are 3psi offroad.
