What did you do to your Ranger today?

Did you get in on the UCA buy too? You have ICON leafs correct? Which setting (#1 or #2) You mentioned it in the Leafs thread, but it is late Friday, so I am not on point.

I am headed down this path. The same 2.5 piggyback rears, but just VS ET RR 2.5 Fronts, not sure I need the CDCV. I am thinking we are going to end up with similar setups. Curious how it turns out as it will get me going.

I have APG billet UCA's....they were the only option for the steel spindles at the time....After I install the CDCV 2.5 coilovers, I will be running a full ICON Stage 8 system equivalent, including the leaf spring pack and bump stops, plus APG billet tie rod ends....The only reason for the coil over and shock upgrade is most of my offroding is low speed crawling, and the softer damping settings would make for a more comfortable ride.....The 2.5 ET coilover and VS 2.0 combo was great in the desert whoops and moguls, as advertised the faster you drive the smoother they get... But I only make the trip to California once a year, to visit my parents in Blythe and daughter / grand kids in Julian....?....

Edit: If you were asking how I installed the leaf springs ...as shipped, did not swap in or add the extra leaf...

Finished up the little things on the ditch lights. Bolt and nut were annoying me. Threaded cover screws on and covers the bolt and nut. Not sure about the red yet, may redo them in black.

If I pay you can you make me a version that covers the entire middle section instead of just the trim level badge? (Yes I know I will have to shave the letters down).

Also, I still have some partially chopped up RCI slotted panels left from my recent rack revision. I am going to attempt to make what is more or less an oversized BuiltRight dash mount for my RAM mounted stuff. On my last rack revision I learned that bending thick steel is doable so this is going to be a bit more complicated with multiple bends to follow the dash.

The red part is what will be attempted for sure. The orange part is what may happen in the future (order another full length panel from RCI) if the red part turns out worth a damn.

Apologies up front for what’s sure to be an excessively long wall of text and pics.

I haven’t posted in a while, and I’m honestly not even sure where I left off in trying to wrap up my exterior mods. Hit a few snags with delivery and install delays….but I’ve finally wrapped everything up, at least for the time being.

So bear with me here as I look back over the past several weeks. I’ll try to keep the narrative short.

Think I may have mentioned the Alpharex Nova headlights. I’m diggin ‘em. The startup sequence isn’t anywhere near as obnoxious as I feared; it cycles quickly and honestly doesn’t look out of place. I love the driving light’s aesthetics and the “alpha black” blends well with the rest of the truck.

The big advantage for me is the wider beam these throw off, but I’ll be honest; I’m not sure I’d shell out the money if I had it to do all over again. But the money’s gone and I do enjoy them.

Next up was a pair of pair of Rigid S-RL reverse lights with a wiring harness and hardware from SPV. There are several ways to wire these for various applications, but I just tapped into the brake lights. When driving, the outer ring is red….serving as an additional marker light. In reverse they throw off enough bright light that I don’t have to worry about not seeing something, which is why I bought them. With my aging eyes these give me great peace of mind, especially backing up with kids, pets and families in the area.

The pic above leads me to the Retrax PRO MX tonneau cover. I really like the features on this thing; the bearing system, the ability to lock it in place anywhere along the rails, the lifetime warranty and the purported strength.

And finally, just yesterday my Husky X-act Contour liners arrived. I started with the Roush Weathertech that came with the truck. I’m a big fan of Weathertech but find they tend to require a lot of maintenance to keep from fading/discoloring. I have OCD (diagnosed and well managed), so while keeping truck floor-liners “looking new” is probably way down on most folks list of priorities…it’s something that can gnaw away at me. I’ve found over the years (and through trial and error on different vehicles) that the Huskies are a bit more “rubberized”; they’re easier to keep clean and the color remains consistent. And because they’re more pliable they seem to stay put a bit better for me.

Lol, so that should pretty much wrap things up for me for a bit (yeah, I know….famous last words). But I’m happy with the truck at the moment, so at the very least it’s the first time I don’t have anything sitting in the pipeline for it.

Lol, although I do need a swing-box….and the bed is pretty damn dark with the tonneau cover on it…….

You're going to have to V8 swap that bitch just to haul around all the weight in wiring. HA!

I replaced my rear ICON VS 2.0 shocks with the ICON 2.5 CDCV piggybacks...
The front ICON 2.5 coilovers will be replaced by the CDCV 2.5 remote reservoirs when I have more time...

Does your passanger side resivor touch your exhaust? Installed mine about 2 weeks ago and noticed it is rubbing

Replaced my stock tweeters with some nice pioneer Z series tweeters that I had leftover from my escape. I wanted the tweeters to be a little brighter and these were laying in my toolbox. Used the oem connector and cap for the crossover. They do pretty good.

Does your passanger side resivor touch your exhaust? Installed mine about 2 weeks ago and noticed it is rubbing

No....Looks like I have plenty of clearance on stock exhaust....even at full compression, as close it would get looks 1.5" of clearance.... did you mount yours with the reservoir slightly angled towards the diff pumpkin per instructions ....?....

Yeah I mounted it per the instructions, I have a borla exhaust might have to hammer it in Some lol. I wonder if it's possible to rotate the resivor?

SQUEEZED it in the garage today out of the sun so I could detail and put a coat of wax on it. First time its been in there. Was tight but made it. LOL
