This is funny, unless I'm reading it wrong (read it several times) Ford Authority screwed up the info;

"Plaintiffs in the lawsuit claimed that both the Ranger and F-150 feature fuel economy ratings that are considerably higher than what the window stickers state, which forces owners to pay thousands of dollars more for fuel over the course of ownership than expected."

I wish it was higher than what the window sticker states :facepalm:

well, they are estimates, as every vehicle, driver, load, landscape is varying enough that theres no way anyone could be held to that standard across the board.

I averaged about 25mpg in my 2019 2WD, and am averaging about 23.5 in my 2021 4WD.
But I drive like an old man (because I are one!).

Got OPs point on the misprint.. ha! I wish! .... but on the EPA vs real.. I am starting to see those numbers. Initially, I was nowhere near them. Now I just recently got a solid highway - 70mph with the A/c doing 29mpg on one leg of a 3-hour trip and my in city is sitting around 21 unless hit the remote start too soon in the morning.

Then I get a stretch of open road and want to .... let the turbo stretch its legs... and it goes to hell in a hurry.

So not sure if it is break-in or I am calming down with getting into boost - but I am seeing what was "promised".

Mine varies a lot depending on what I'm doing. When it's colder during the winter, I'm usually down near 20 or 21mpg for my usual suburban driving. Now that it's warmed up a decent bit, I'm easily hitting 22, maybe a little more.

Once summertime hits, that same driving will get me around 23-24mpg. When I start adding in longer drives on regular highways around 60mph, then I'll get over 26mpg on those stretches and my tank averages are around 25. When I'm doing a long interstate drive (70mph, cruise), then I'll push 29mpg.

Yeah, it gets lower than the EPA ratings when I start doing forest road cruising and I put it into 4wd in loose stuff. But that's to be expected.

So for my driving patterns, the EPA ratings are at the worse end and most of the time, I'm doing better.

Oh, OK. My mistake.
So, folks are really getting 'better' mpg than sticker advertised?
Maybe I just need to have my dealer check out why mine isn't.
Thanks for the info.

I'd say some "Karens" and ambulance chasing type of lawyers got together to try to squeeze some deep pockets.

My numbers have always bee within the range. Not any really long highway run to see what I would get. My long highway runs have all been pulling a 12' U-Haul trailer loaded. Even with that I got like 12.5.:like:

Same here, I get far worse. On the positive side, my wife's Subaru Forester gets about 2 miles to the gallon better than the 33 average on the sticker. Don't get me wrong, I love my Ranger but Ford isn't known for having the best integrity.
