Has anybody heard of a fix or even a recall for the Tremor front tire rub issue? I've got stock wheels and tires on a 21 Lariat Tremor that has interference with the front crash bars... only 2500 miles since July. The dealership can't fix it... they say it's a body alignment issue.
Mine were very close but did not rub.

i did it myself, I loosened the bolts and pushed them out and retightened the bolt getting a little bit of extra room.

In the 90's at the Ford dealer we were always changing springs on vehicles, finally just started shimming them, full sized Bronco's and F series were the worst, Explorers were almost as bad.

I'd accept any size settlement from class action suits as they typically cost nothing to join, the best payout I ever received was some yrs back was ~ $24.00 from a class action suit when Beck's beer was purchased by inbev and began to brew it in Toronto while leading customers to believe it was brewed in Germany. And it wasn't the same beer. I just put in for the max amount and voila received my comp. , no proof of purchase required.
I got 24k and 15k from a class action that I put $50 into. Warner Brothers and MGM for selling video tapes to me (I owned a video store back in the day) for more than they sold them to Block Buster

You win some and you get fubar'ed by some...
After we lost lots of $$$ when GM went belly up and they said that my stock was worth poo-poo, the class suite did absolutely nothing.
To add even more poo-poo on me, the Govt used MY TAX DOLLARS to bail them out.
I figure GM owes me a new Corvette, 2 new pick up trucks, and a years free service....which I'm not holding my breath to get.
Hundreds of class action suits going on every day, and only a small % ever get people $$$

It's cheaper and quicker to buy better quality aftermarket suspension. Why would you want Ford to put shit suspension back on your truck lol. The solution is already out there waiting on you.

But, good luck.

That's the main reason I don't buy GM products. Too many bankruptcies and government bailouts. Frankly, I'm surprised that since we have Dem for prez, GM has cried for another bailout.

Rangers have always leaned to the left. If not when new, after they age a bit due to the driver and fuel tank being on the same side. There's even a name for it, the "Ranger Lean".

Has anybody taken their truck to the dealer to get this dealt with .. fixed ?
Yes today.
Paul, my ranger is approximately 3/4" higher on the passenger (right) side than the driver side. The tilt can be seen from both the front and back of the truck but less noticeable in the front. See pics. My previous two Rangers 1999 and 2011 (4g) were both level with no tilt.

My Dealer has had a number of customers with 5g's to report a similar tilt. They checked their suspensions thoroughly and found no problems. They then went to their sales lot and found that several Rangers in stock also had a tilt. They explained that the tilt is fairly common on the 5g's yet not all of them are tilted. They also searched for any info. or service bulletins with Ford and nothing appeared.

They did not put my truck on a lift, but a technician crawled underneath and carefully inspected my rear suspension on both sides. The service dept. convinced me that this is not a safety or mechanical related issue which were my two concerns but could not give the reason as to why the tilt occurred. The visual appearance of the tilt does not bother me. Regardless, I wanted to get documentation on this just in case this situation does develop into a service bulletin or recall in the future :)

I posted about my lean on another thread on this forum. There are a few of us on here with Rangers that lean. I brought it to my dealer and they ran a diagnostic…basically took measurements. They found that the driver side rear is lower (leans) by 1/2 an inch. When they took measurements, I had less then a quarter tank of gas. I was told they contacted Ford to see if this was a known issue…I haven’t heard back…not getting good vibes. I just want them to remove the passenger side shim under the leaf to see if that levels me out. ??‍♂

The last bailout involved the US Gov taking stock position in GM (500m shares) and when all shares were sold it was at a $10.5B loss while GM had financially recovered sufficiently to hold billions in cash reserves. At the time it was reported that GM urged the gov to sell their shares because it was hurting sales as some customers wouldn't buy GM products because they disapproved of the gov ownership.
Makes perfect sense, doesn't it :rolleyes:
