I recently installed an aftermarket Chinese Raptor style grille with 3 large led lights. I also purchased a wiring harness to plug into the left front marker light with the 2 wires coming out of the new lights’ harness.

Th lights will only work when initially turned on. When put into drive, they will stop working and the left front marker light stops working as well.

if I disconnect 1 of the three marker lights, the 2 remaining work fine.

Any suggestions?

Same issue here. I ended up putting my grill lights on a switch.

Thank you China for producing SHIT as always. Buy American.
If there were any American made grille and light kits out there, I’d be all over it!

What if you added a low current relay? Fairly inexpensive and worth a try. Feed the power for the lights in a more reliable location.

It’s actually the truck causing it.
Probably this. I have rear brake lights / sequential signals on my rack and they would not work properly if I tapped the trailer harness. I had to hard-wire them a specific way directly into the tail lights to get them to work properly because of the way the computer system detects and reads electrical signals / resistance.

Also my RTR style knock-off grill with DRL / sequential signals works perfectly fine when tapping the factory signal / running lights at the front of the truck. Not sure what the OP's product is doing and or why.

I’ve been running my Raptor style grille / lights for around a year now and no issues. I think they are from Stage 3…….

Hey has anyone found a fix to this issue? Wired the grille lights into the front driver side marker light with the plug in adapter and the same. The grille and driver side light goes out when the truck starts. If I take out the bulb on the marker light the grille lights work perfect.

You are either over driving the circuit and the BCM is disabling it or the BCM does not like you sharing the signal ground.

You can try grounding to chassis rather than sharing the ground.

Otherwise you are overdriving the circuit.

These circuits that are controlled by the BCM are really not intended to be tapped and have additional current drawn from them.

The best method would be ground to its own chassis point and if you want them to trigger on with the side markers then run its own power and fuse. Then use a relay and the side markers as the trigger.
