Any recs on 2" front levelling lift for my new Tremor? Also, does 2" make it too levelled (if towing)?

Hey guys

Looking to get rid of that factory rake that's a trademark on all chevy/Ford mid size trucks. I've seen various brands/sizes ranging from 1.5" to 2.5".

I'm not really looking for lift the front too much either. My goal is to remove the factory rake but still have a little bit left so when towing, the truck doesnt look ...stupid.

I ran a 1.5" level kit on my now traded GMC Canyon and it was perfect. Made the truck almost levelled with just a little bit of rake up front but it looked good and practical.

TIA!

Truxxx makes 1.5", 2.5", and 3.5" strut spacers for Rangers. I had four of their spacers on my old Sport Trac, 2.5" F/1.25'' R, quality product, no issues.

BDS has a 2" kit that uses upper and lower strut spacers and includes new rear shocks. Price for both is reasonable.

I like the BDS one..why does it come with rear shocks too? Isn't the level kit only putting the spacer on the front strut and that's it (along with front alignment afterwards)?

Sorry..noob here. Cheers friend.

I went with the 2inch level from Ford Ranger Lifts - Ranger, Truck Accessories, Lifts, Ford Ranger (lots of people on here are big fans of this site).

Had it installed about 2 weeks ago and I'm super happy with it. I don't have any extra weight at the front of my truck and it's now leveled perfectly. Will post pics when I get around to it :)

The level is only the spacers. The rear shocks are just part of the BDS offering. Looks like a good deal.

Perfect. I noticed the 1" is out of stock so I'll wait for that. 1" is perfect for what I'm looking for. Slight front end lift with minimal rake.

thanks again!

With my setup, it seems 1.5" level kit would make my wheel arches perfectly level. I do have some items in the bed at all times plus a Bakflip MX4 installed. With the numbers below, I am either thinking of a 1" level, or 2" level and 1" rear lift (either block of shackle). I am more likely at this point to just do the 1" level though.

I tow a Geo Pro 19BH. Here are my numbers, measuring at the center point of the fender/wheel arch.

w/o trailer, 24/7 driving
Front 37.00" Rear 38.5"

w/trailer, Equal-i-zer WDH (hitch, no bars connected yet)
front 37.75" Rear 36.5"

w/trailer and WDH hitch all hooked up for towing
front 37.50" Rear 37.5"

Probably for a better ride. Personally I don't have a problem with it but I have an STX with the standard suspension. Most of the complaints come from FX4 owners.

Installing the BDS is a little more involved as the whole strut assembly has to come out and then use a spring compressor to install the lower spacer. Upside, it's supposed to put less angle on the CV's and ball joints, which I like because with the 2.5" lift on my Sport Trac I had to get new upper ball joints rather frequently, like every year and a half to two years.

I will probably get the Truxxx because I 've used their product before and I can get a 1.5". Clearance with my garage door is already tight and I had to get a Stubby antenna. 1.5" spacer and 265/70-17 tires is about as big as I can go or it won't fit.
