Update:

Added a full size spare today. 17” 8.5 Method 305 NV 0 offset (used as a spare for $200) with a KO2 33” Got it used but never driven for $150.

The straps are temporary till my Y strap comes in.

Also…

Welded for the first time with a TIG welder. Hopefully I can lay down some clean beads in the next few months and do my own limit straps (I did a pretty bad job)

Hey everyone

I decided to make a build thread for my 2020 Ford Ranger Fx2 xlt. I’ve had the truck for over a year now and wanted to post my progression and what I wanted to achieve.

Current Mods:
Fox tuned suspension 2.0s front and rear.
General Grabbers ATX 265/70/17.
Nfab nerf bars.

Parts I have waiting to go on:
Baja kits +3 long travel.
King coilovers extended travel 2.5s with R/R adjusters.
Fiberwerx front fenders 3.5” bulge.
Cooper Discoverer AT3 285/70/17.
Method 316 with 0 offset.

Parts waiting for:
Method extended lug nuts.
Readylift intrusion bars.

Future parts:
SVC Front Bumper.
Rough Country light bar.
King 2.5 bypasses/or smoothie shock for the rear (through the bed)
Deavers leaf pack.
454 spare tire carrier.
Fiberwerx rear fiberglass.
Bed cage by Drew’s fabrication.

These are most of the parts I can think of now. Thanks to @Superdannyboy and @Allen_rubin for guiding me through the process and answering my questions. Also, anyone else who has helped answer questions. There aren’t many members that have gone LT on our Rangers yet, so it’s difficult to find information.

Most prerunners are 2wd. You hardly meed 4wd for fast dessert mobbing.

good to know, I have never driven in the desert, my main 4wd use is winter snow and ice

yeah here in SoCal, you find that in the mountains if you look for it. Otherwise it’s mostly desert out here.
