So I was ready to pull the trigger earlier today and order the Fabtech 3.5 inch lift kit and rear Dirt Logic 2.25 shocks (which comes with offset intrusion beams) along with wheels and tires from my local 4wheel Parts shop. I was going to order my tires size 295/65r18 (which are basically 33" by 11.5" wide). The guy at the shop was telling me I couldn't even fit 285/65r18 without major trimming even with the intrusion beams which really threw me off since I've been doing a lot of research on sizes that would fit this lift. What do yall think about this? Should I just go get a second opinion at another shop?

Nope that dude is wrong. Go back and bitch slap him... I run 295 70 17 which are 33.5" and 11.9" wide. No major trimming however, it is a must that you remove the rear plastic blocks and the crash bars. If you want to keep the crash bars you'll have to use BDS of Fabtech but could still experience slight rubbing off road or parking lot transitions. Check out my posts from 2019 on the block removal.

Yup, I have a 295 70R17 which are 33.3, Stangman570 help me out with some advice, on how to remove the plastic block. I have a 3.5 inch superlift and just replace the rear shocks with Eibach and using Fox 2.0 in the front.

Dude is wrong. Have a 3.5 inch lift with 285/70-17 Patagonia MT’s n 17x9 wheels with a more aggressive -12 offset. I removed the crash bars and only have a tiny rub at full lock.

my lifts consists of :

Fabtech Upper Control Arms

Eibach Pro series 2.0 Adjustable coil over struts set to 3.5 inches with matching rear shocks

Fabtech 1.5 inch rear lift blocks.

If you have to remove the blocks they are behind the felt. Two bolts on the outer fender well and one bolt on the inner. Do not cut the felt, you can stretch it back in place and secure it with a larger washer and the original bolt that held the block. If been through alot offroad and I have yet to loosen the liner up.

Unfortunately for me, I cut the felt before I saw your post reply, I order a new felt and already received it, just waiting for the right moment to install.

What am I missing with these “blocks”? Are we talking crash bars or something different? I want to go to a 285/75 on my Tremor and am looking for whatever clearance I can get.

I’d would also like to see more details about removing the blocks.

The blocks are behind rear crash bars and behind the wheel well liner. You will need to pull the liner out of the way to access. You'll have to remove both the crash bar and block to be able to use the 75. Not sure if you'll be able to use aftermarket crash bars with that series tire. I'm at 295 70's and it's close for me at full compression off road.

What is that plastic block meant to do? At first glance I assumed just to hold the felt in place but it is pretty heavy duty and the four bolts are loctited in.

You don't need to cut the felt paper like I did, they will cost $260 for both front side, remove the plastic fastener and peel up the felt paper, the bolt closer to the fender flare is on an angle. I forgot the nut size but feel them in first. It takes a bit of patient, you might need a mechanic chair to seat on. I'll take a picture in the morning on how they look Ike with a cut felt paper so the thread where the screw goes is visible.

The first pics is where the bolts goes, the 2nd pics is what not to do. I shave the plastic off cause I couldn't see where the bolts are plus I didn't know what's behind the plastic box, I thought there was some electronics in there. This is before stangman advice me.

The block is the plastic behind the rear tires. It's blocking the crash bar.
