Went through a very brutal install this morning. Bought those caps that another member found on Amazon to seal the tube ends of the crossmember by rear wheels/frame.
Got them today, and...
NO instructions !!! No vid on installing them !!! NO indication of which was right and which was left !!! Had to figure it out by trial and error, end even then I had to use PHYSICAL FORCE to get them to seat right.
But, as photo shows, all went well.....:crackup::crackup:

Perseverence and sheer will evidenced at its finest here.
Well done!

Hi Doc,

Yep....down through throat and then cardioversion shock treatment. When I woke up all the folks were gone but two nurses were there but they relayed the cardiologist said they got it back in rhythm and was confident it would stay there. Area where the paddles were attached front and back are like a sunburn. Still spacey from the sedation....before the start Cardiologist said I would likely only have to take the blood thinners for another month and then drop them... All in all it was a quick process and all the what if's did not happen. Maybe I can even sleep tonight with few worries. Not going to say it was a "piece of cake" but thankful I was not in the hospital over night or longer which I always dread...

Feel a bit of a big baby for being so afraid of this whole thing... Oh well...hope it lasts...

Best,
Phil
Sleep well Phil. This medical stuff is indeed serious and it is OK to be a little apprehensive. Glad to hear that it went well.

To the clerk that asked about your affairs. I would say I am not having any affairs, :) and I am on good terms with my maker, if you must know. The truth is, none of us is guaranteed tomorrow so just keep things in order.

I see these buzzards often when I ride my bike. I am always thinking "hey if you all are counting on me as your next meal, I hope to disappoint you." it strikes me as pretty funny that they hang out near the walking, biking, jogging trail, as if they are just waiting for one of us to keel over and become dinner.

Well, hit 70 degrees here in Va today, and after my difficult install of those plastic caps, gave Grrumpy a "winter's coming" wash. 303'd everything and gave him a quick 303 Graphene coat.
Gotta love that stuff.
Back to 50's and nite 30's tomorrow.

Is that 303 Graphene stuff in addition to wax or instead of?

The Graphene is made to go over any finish including ceramic. For best results it should used alone as base coat and you will get about a year of protection out if it using it this way. You can layer up to 3 coats, any more you're just wasting product.

I feel your pain. Mine arrived today as well (we must’ve seen the same member’s post). Two hours into the install I was still trying to figure out the whole right side/left side conundrum when I finally said “Eff it!!” and just shoved one in. I must’ve guessed wrong because I had to use a mallet in addition to brute force to get them to seat properly. I just hope no one notices.

My better half nicknamed me Grumpy some 30 odd years ago.
Grumpaw came from our first grand child. When she started talking she would always call me "Grumpaw", and it stuck All 3 of them still call me Grumpaw...my "offical" name now.

Glad you got your sorted out. Right and left can easily become confusing. I mean if your at the front of the truck, right is right and left is left. But if you then go to the back of the truck the right becomes left and the left becomes right. Unless, of course, you started at the back of the truck, then it all switches around.
But I must have lucked out and got it right, cause both caps did fit. They should have supplied some type of lube though...something you could have spread around the inside of the hole so inserting the protrusion of the cap into the hole would have gone smoother instead of just pounding that protrusion into the hole !
