Magnetic Grey I believe is what ford calls it. As far as the valance removal I did it last week. I wanna say it's 9 bolts all together. 3 basically in front of each of the front wheels that are pretty easy to get to and 3 under the center. The 3 center were a bit more difficult, I carefully pulled the plastic trim over the bolts out enough to get a socket on it and got them out without a mark on anything. Took about 20 min total. Good color combo. That's exactly what I have!

The trim color is Magnetic Metallic. Same color as the exterior color. I think it is J7 ?

Anyone have a good frontal pic with valance removed? Thinking of doing this to mine. Was going to wait till I got my FX4 skid plate, but I may do it before then if it doesn’t look funny without it.

I drove around w/o it while I was painting mine. Sorry no pics. I wrapped and bagged the pkg sensors and tucked them up so they didn't get damaged. I mean if you are talking a few weeks it would be fine, but if the skifd plate is months out - wait.

Sorry, are we talking about the same thing? I’m referring to the lower air dam looking thing. Is that what you’re referring to?

Lower air dam has a bunch of large washer 6mm bolts about 9 of them. Like 3 are hidden under the valance pictured above. You can pull it out enough to get a socket on them. On front side of wheel wells you can get at the rest of them. I removed mine and went with a FX4 skid plate. Another member and I did the swap in his driveway.

so if you are talking about the air dam - look at any FX4 pic, we do have "damlets"(?) in front of each wheel. There is a thread on here where some have removed these on their FX4. I think that's the pic you want.

Those have 2 6mm washer bolts and like a 4mm hex head that snaps off if you try to remove them. ?

If I remove my air dam, and I don't install the FX4 skid plate right away, will there be any issues aside from maybe reduce MPG? Some say that air dam helps with cooling? Not ready just yet to drop $400 on the skid plate, but hate the look of the air dam.

Cant say for sure - but I don't see how that gets more air up to the radiator as the valance is blocking a smooth path.
Anyway you are heading into the winter ?
I found one here https://www.car-part.com for $127 at a junkyard. Shipping could be expensive.
LOL just realized the Yard is in Anchorage AK! Anyway keep searching that site or go by your local junk yards.
