Retired, work is a four letter word.
That's disappointing. Hope things get resolved soon. Maybe you can drown your sorrows with what they offer for the dissatisfied Bronco people.

Ford has informed dealers to also buy for customers "a bottle of their favorite Bourbon or Spirit to thank them for their loyalty and patience."
WAIT! WHAT! I have waited 18 months for my Bronco, and NO ONE has offered me diddly squat, and I am VERY unhappy!

My truck hasn’t been started in two months. The Ford app says the truck is in deep sleep mode to protect the battery, so I decided to visit it today. Good news is the truck started like if it was brand new. Sounds strange to say that because it kinda is like new, it’s just been parked for two months straight.

And “emergency“ case was opened a couple weeks ago for the replacement parts. Today, since the shipping of the axle did not happen on the 20th of Sept in accordance with the shipping department company emails as planned; and since nobody knows why the delay or where the parts are at, the dealer opened a “COPIS“ case with Ford. Apparently it is the highest level of action and pulls the first available part in the nation for my truck. At least that’s how I understand it.

The dealer is working with me and very professional but this is wearing on me. Just seeing my truck not started, moved, or even washed was upsetting. They said it would be washed today.

Perhaps you have done this. In your state, it might be different. I live in WA state. And you can file a complaint with the state Commissioner's Office via their website. Even if Ford is out of state they will investigate and tell you what you can do and what the state can do. Best wishes.

you can still find vehicles if you search wide enough. i would lemon law it then get something else then move on. if enough folks do this, that will cause the manufacturers to get their acts together.

Already have contacted attorney a month ago. It’s a long process and takes at least 6 months and that was pre covid estimates.

Man! I hate hearing this kind of stuff. I'll say this; it's refreshing to hear that your dealer is trying to handle it correctly. The parts situation really sucks though and it I'd be furious. The thing that sucks is it's easy to be furious at Ford, but they just don't have the parts.

It actually really makes me worried about my truck! A couple of weeks ago, I needed to replace the driver, rear brake rotor. NO ONE HAS THEM IN STOCK! I would have had to wait to get an aftermarket one shipped out to me. I would have had to reassemble the truck with the cooked rotor and left it parked in my buddy's driveway for a couple of weeks until the rotor came in. Lucky, my local dealership found a rotor (two actually) in stock one hour away. Once I got to that parts department to snag the rotors, the guy told me he believed the rotors were the only two in stock in the entire Southeast!

I'm thinking about picking up a used alternator and left & right CV axles just to squirrel away!

29 Sept (day 64) - dealer got new shipping update of 20 Oct for parts. At this point I believe Ford is just pushing out ETA on parts a month at a time. I don’t think the axle is actually scheduled for 20 OCT date.

4 Oct (day 69) - CCF customer complaint form filed with BBBnp.org the arbitrator Ford agrees to deal with. Located in warranty guide page 7 of your Ford app vehicle support, owners manual, warranty guide file. The BBBNP said it’s approx a 50 day process once CCF approved.

First post timeline updated.

Today is day 79 that my ride has been at the dealer. I just got the call the repairs are complete and I can go get my Lariat and take it home. Tomorrow I will post up the repairs and info on what was done.

Definitely a good day, I knew it had been a while because I noticed in the Toyota rental I learned all the steering wheel controls without having to look at them. Cruise control, radio controls, radar settings etc. change with touching only.

The repairs are not 100%. I would be taking back the truck to the dealer in a couple days when work schedule allows but today I got a call from the BBB auto group that is the arbitrator between myself and Ford.

BBB said Ford is buying back my ride. Should be about 5 days, I am waiting on instructions. Will post Up specifics when/if it happens. Purchase price and sales tax minus a usage fee for the miles I drove it is what I was told the repayment will be. Quick math was something like $2100 deduction based on mileage on the truck will be considered a usage fee prorated deduction from what is owed to me.

I've seen a number of complaints about axles here and in the Ranger groups on FB. Probably due to the pandemic but quality seems to have taken a dive in 2021.
